Standing calm with his frame steady, the onyx draft watches the woman. Usually he would be far more agressive, baring his teeth with canines on display. His ears would pin and his crimson hued eyes would be raging. A fire once burned in his breast when facing the woman before him, but now Lucifer was calm. The voices were whispering toxic things in his mind of course, but for the first time in days, he had full control of his body.
Hearing her words, he holds in a snort, but a turkey amused smile graces his lips. He shouldn't find her words funny, but he couldn't help himself as he shifts his stance to cock one back leg and fully rest into an eased position. Flicking his black ears, he lets silence slightly stretch before them. The birds sing around them, not growing silent even though two very dangerous equines sit below them. Lucifer and Nyimara were toxic, but no one would ever be able to say they were weak.
“Salem is harsh on older bones for a breed built for cooler temperatures.” Raising a brow then, Lucifer tilts his head slowly. “If you can strike a deal, I'd consider relinquishing the Dunes over to you.” There, he had said it. Lucifer had been contemplating this for a while. He'd been holding onto it as a massive ‘fuck you’ to both Helios and Nyimara, but time there was becoming short. He needed to heal, needed to strengthen his body. He was better suited to the land of Luthien, not Salem. If everything went as he needed, he might be able to claim a home in the tree infested island and live out his days, with his herd, in a different environment than what he had now.
