Let me be your rain;

Tefnut
So I can quench your thirst.

I AM Tefnut.

The sound of her tail snapping against her hip was the only sound Tefnut made for the longest time after Caine spoke. Her blue eyes searched him, curious of what she might find. Yet, as her eyes scanned his dusty marked body, Tefnut struggled to find that want for him to stay here. Caine would mark her territory in a bad light in so many ways. The lagoon stench would travel, much like it was now. If she wanted the Bay to be safe when Rethe returned… she wasn't sure keeping Caine here was the smartest decision.

Turning her head to face the direction of Salem, she pondered. Her muscled form twitched, but nothing left her mind and appeared otherwise. It was painfully obvious she was mulling over the decision. It wasn't anything against Caine exactly… but it was where he currently resided. If he was a true nomad, not a lagoon beast, it wouldn't be so hard to decide. Her gut said no, which made her fight herself. She offered sanctuary, quietly. Yet… was it worth it?

After the longest time, she finally let out a sigh and turned her head to face him again. “I can offer… sanctuary.” It wasn't the right way to go about this, but she had one purpose in life. She was to lead, but most importantly, she wished to protect Rethe. “If Rethe returns and says you leave, you must go. If anyone comes here going at me over you however…” Her words died before she shook her head. “If anyone picks a fight because you're here Caine, I expect you to stand up on your own hooves and finish it if I can't. Deal?”
