During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

Atra now crossed into the territory of Munashii Gekko, following a lead to meet with Hope. All because she had acted as a lead for Hope into Cold Summers. The gaze of the female made Hope's spine itch, blue eyes turned to ice and she was glad the pup did not see. If the tension was in the air, it was avoided around him as he bounced over to Silence. Hope watched the interaction with a spark of amusement, Silence looking at the pup with startled eyes. It was quickly swept away as her brother took on a stoic stance, staring at a point in the distance as he spoke a response. "You're welcome."

Then he watched her, urging her to eat and so Hope did. Tugging at the animal's stomach, she opened the harder bit of flesh and let the pup take from the softer bits. Gruesome perhaps if one does not like blood, but merely life to the wolves. She did not eat much as the presence of Atra hung over her mind and Hope pulled away barely satiated and let Silence take part. He made sure to keep an eye on the two females while he ate.

Hope licked her maw, white fur stained with the blood of the kill. It gave a dire look to her, though she moved to drink from the water first to wash more of it away and slake the last of her thirst. When she finally turned to Atra, it was with a grim sort of countenance. There was steel in her eyes, the kind of dominant wolves that subdues the more submissive by mere look alone. She moved away from the pup and her brother, not wanting the pup to overhear sharp words if they came to it. One look at Atra told the other to follow, and perhaps she could have her questions.

And Atra had to wonder, if Hope could heal as she did, could she also destroy?

Yet Hope had reason for wanting Atra to speak, else she would have chased the black female out. There was a part of her that wanted others to know, and a part of her that had it's own questions to ask. Once she had reached the distance she wanted, Hope stopped and looked at the black female. The cold was gone from her eyes and she was herself; light of heart, used to being answered, a wolf that knew her own worth.

"Was it Waptumewi?"

The name sounded odd from her, a ghost of the past come back to life. A wolf she thought of and wondered. He had left her and avoided any contact, and Hope had let him be. Yet he shared something with her and her brother, and that itself made her unable to forget. His return was something of a mystery, and this wolf held the key to it.

So it was that the two would face each other, and yet one might ask who would go away with the most questions answered.
