During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

The ebonite shadow wound his way ever so softly through the trees of Munashii Gekko, his midnight pelt shining brightly in the evanescent moonlight whenever he saw fit to travel through it instead of around. He wasn't afraid of the light, he just chose to stick closer to the shadows, finding comfort in their deadly arms. He trusted the night like no other. The cloak of night gave him his kills, his prey when he hunted. The night gave him comfort when he slept. He saw more beauty in the moon's eerie light than could ever be found in the brightest day. He welcomed it like a long lost sibling. His large paws made no noise as he walked, having practiced the skill of stealth long into his pup hood and teen years, having finally mastered it in his adult. He could creep as well as any assassin, he just chose to use his skills for the hunt of herbivores now rather than his own kind.

He'd had his days in the past where this line wasn't quite so clear, when the difference between right and fun wasn't so transparent. He had done bad things in his past, wrong things that he would look down on now. But to look down on what he could once perform himself would make him a hypocrite so he chose not to judge others. He just tried to avoid those that might drag him back to that hell once again. His new home here at Munashii had helped somewhat. The mysterious nature of Paranoia and her brother Angel kept Kong in check. She was lovely as ever and always seemed to fill his thoughts when he felt like he was getting pulled back down. She saved him, though he would try to never let her know that. She might take too much from it and consider him one of the testosterone driven males who ask to join for the simple fact or two single alphas. Who would reach the throne with a mate first? Only time would tell. Kong planned to keep himself in the shadows and watch the drama play out.

Nasal passages lifted to the skies, reading a new smell in the air. A female, and she had the unmistakable scent of Munashii on her. Yet he could not recall this perfume from the meeting and wondered why. Was she not present at all? He frowned slightly, wondering why a pack animal would not answer the summons of her alpha. Did she have a quarrel with one of the alphas? Not feel comfortable meeting in groups? Maybe she just didn't feel like she was needed there. A slight scoff left Kong's maw at the thought. He would have given a judgment for such behavior but that was back in the old days. He wasn't an alpha anymore. He was just an Omega here. It wasn't his place anymore. A soft sigh escaped, maybe in forgiveness of the scoff, as if to relieve his tension and remind himself to keep an open mind to the femme. She may very well have a good reason for being absent at the pack meeting. A reason he would surely work up to when he met her.

Golden gaze fell on the bruja when he finally saw her. He took in the smell of the creek, harks pricking as he could hear the rushing water and its calming nature right behind her. So she was relaxing here. He hoped he wasn't disturbing her rest. He was still a gentleman after all. Dial dropped to omega position on his approach, plumage dropping to sway mildly behind his carcass, telling the fae that he meant no harm. His gaze stayed locked on her silhouette, halting his motion a few feet from where she lay. She looked so comfortable by the bushes that he was tempted to join her but he would be sure to ask her permission to stay before doing so. Bowing his crown in greeting, Kong let his rough deep lyrics fly.

Good day, m'lady. I am King Kong but you may call me Kong. Do you mind if I join you? It would be nice to get to know someone else of the pack.

He stood his spot patiently, twin pinnacles perked her way to catch a reply.
