During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

A small bit of Dazzle Me told her to leave. That, no, she was better off alone for life. That she’d live to be a simple little wolf spinster with no mate, no pups, and no friends. In her heart, she knew why she repelled so many wolves. She was dark, she was cold. She hated and didn’t get along with most. But if she was left alone, God knows what she’d learn to be. It was certainly bad to see Dazzle in her worst stage, with her luminaries of delicious gold burning with bloodlust and her tongue falling out of her mouth to clean her bloodied chops; marred by your own blood.

She didn’t know what told her to come to Munashii Gekko, but it seemed like a good enough place. She hoped that her life would be spared for she didn’t particularly feel like dying that day. She would submit to the alphas, but as a loner here for quite a while, she had come to hear a rumour that Paranoia and Angel, the feared rulers of Munashii, were gone. Who knew why, perhaps on strict alpha business, but what gave her the right to know?

Long, limber limbs carried her easily through the thick wilderness, as the first scents of a pack of wolves rubbed against her sensitive nose. She knew it was a pack from the scent written all over the land; on the earthen bark of trees, on the hard, clay-packed earth worn from years of use.

She stood at the border, the invisible line between what could be life or death and stood patiently. Patient. Ha! Dazzle, patient? That was a first, but if it meant giving up your life if you didn’t wait, she’d rather do that then be sent upwards.

Her head was dropped low, her tail also in omega position. She would be in submissive, but with no alpha around, what’s the big deal? Her golden luminaries scanned upwards, harks swiveling on a delicately carved cranial as she sought a call from her throat. It was more of a whimper, however, rather than a bark. She wouldn’t howl. She didn’t want to make a grand entrance that many lupines favoured these days. She brought her rump against the ground, the sudden coolness sending a jittery shiver across her spine.

It was hard just sitting there doing nothing. But what was the use of making trouble when it could cost her a life?
