During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

He would have chuckled good naturedly if he was feeling more like himself. Seeing the brutale leap up, her irises wide in relief and her banner wagging like a pup, then watching her collapse and flip over like she'd ust hit an invisible wall, well, it struck him as humorous, yet enough humor to get him out of his current sour mood. He still felt like the demon was inside, clawing to get out again. Victim, it screamed at him, but he shoved the thought away absently. No, she was scared, that much was obvious. She didn't need a good torturing session to help out with that. Watching the velca submit to him brought a wry grin to his features and a subtle wag of his pendulum. So she must think he was the alpha. Glancing around as if waiting for Angel or the lovely Paranoia to step forth out of the shadows, the midnight stallion sighed slightly. He might as well be with the way things were going but he wasn't power hungry at all. He didn't want the crown, not any time soon, not with the dangerous mood swings he was having after the challenge. He was actually thinking about going back to Quarrels Clearing and picking a fight, just to satisfy the monster inside. But then he worried that might make things worse. Might make him hungry for more bloodshed, just like it did before. He didn't want to risk it, not yet. Well, at least when she submitted, that was a quick way to let him know that she hadn't meant to come into the pack lands and she was certainly no trespasser looking to take over the unoccupied lands.

Good, maybe she wasn't so bad after all. The huntress even went so far as to pull her crown back and show her jugular. Hmm, but how appetizing that tender little piece of flesh was to his gold painted pupils. He licked his chops slowly, hoping she wouldn't notice then ducked his pate and flicked his audits around uncertainly, not wanting to be that wolf, not right now anyway. He noted the obvious wag of her plumage, so like a puppy it actually brought a small smile to his scars. She looked like she was about to speak, even as he opened his own jowls. Of course, he won out on the voice thing, no competition there. After showing her respect, the femme almost jumped to her paws, as if fearing he might take the offer of her offered throat. As soon as she was up, she shook herself, somewhat surprising Kong. Usually other wolves didn't make any sudden moves when around a ranking wolf when they held no rank, especially if said ranking wolf wasn't in so good a temper anyway. That just made him think more that she was just ignorant of pack ways, something more forgivable than just plain out disrespect, since she had already shown that to him. He took in her flattened satellites and lowered crown, keeping his hopes high for her. At least she knew to submit. Pricking his own auds, he listened to her soft spoken words. Her name was Hawk and she even apologized for coming over the borders.

Her lyrics were formal sounding and she admitted her weaknesses of being spooked. He would have thrown her out on any other occasion, saying Munashii needed warriors, not scared pups. Something about this girl had him hesitating though. Maybe it was the lack of social attention he'd gotten in what felt like forever. Either way, he was willing to give the jezebel another chance. When she spoke again, he couldn't help but chuckle, and this was no humorous chuckle, it had a shadow of malice to it. "It was an honest mistake, was it not? I think you'll need some work to prove yourself as a warrior, especially if you're scared of shadows, but I'm feeling forgiving today so yeah, why not. Welcome to Munashii. Sorry if its a little dead right now, the other wolves seem to have vanished somewhere and the alphas have been away on business for quite some time now." The attitude in his voice was not caring, where it had once been warm and friendly. Something had changed in the titan when he saw his home in danger and felt that blood lust once again. It had awakened something he had kept long hidden. He noted the way the femora straightened herself some proudly even while holding her subordinate stance. It was amusing, to say the least, causing a smirk to cover the demon's scars. Something flashed in the bruja's globes for an instant, almost like flirtaciousness, but it was quickly gone from her lamps and replaced by cautious patience, like she was waiting to see her fate.

Kong liked the sound of that.
