During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

I wait in silent tension as the female slowly turns to face me. I watch her eyes, ready to see the fear of my intimidating form or maybe even disgust at a stranger not even of the pack addressing her. Instead, I see simply innocent surprise and my own eyes widen a bit. I watch her chin tilt smoothly to the side, her eyes thoughtful for a moment and I find my interest peaked. Then she speaks and I find humor and grace in her voice, qualities I haven't heard in a female's tone since Paranoia and Jaylah. Lately Jaylah's voice has been laced with anger though so I think more of my former alpha as I look at the female before me. My heart twists but I manage to keep my face blank as I push a small smile onto my lips. I apologize for judging but you don't seem the type to want entrance to this pack. You do understand their beliefs, don't you?

My voice remains calm and curious, willing to offer her insight if she wishes it. I have been watching this pack since the beginning and so far, there is nothing I've seen that I approve of. For a moment or two, she looks thoughtful again so I remain silent, leaving her to her thoughts. I have no idea what's going through that delicate head of hers but I can just hope that she's deciding if she misjudged this pack on first glance. Sure, it looks welcoming from the outside, but she might not like the view from the inside. That's my opinion, anyway. Finally, she blinks a few times as if coming out of a trance and turns her attention back on me. Her soft brown eyes have me captivated. Unless she's a good actress, she certainly doesn't look the type to be here.

Finally she speaks again, calling herself Miya and asking for my name. I note the tone of her lyrics as she begins and my instincts start kicking into defense mode, but not before she realizes herself and softens her voice to a more open and friendly manner. I stop my body from responding to the earlier tone, not wanting to scare her or offend her in any way. This could be a friendly conversation if I let it, I remind myself. Bowing my head in acknowledgment, I let my rough tones slip from dry lips. Forgive me for not introducing myself earlier. I am King Kong, but you may call me Kong. Even as I start to speak, the female moves, pulling herself up to turn around and face me head on. I focus on keeping my own body relaxed, not wanting to give off any signs of aggression or bad intent.
