The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

She had remained stoic, embraced within the confines of the shadows and enveloped within two familiar sensations. The first, was pain, and the second was satisfaction. One of the first things a warrior is to do is accept and embrace their pain- to welcome it and allow it to fill their senses so that their mind is finally set to ease. Wounds such as the one the lady portrayed could ordinarily distress their bearer- but of course Seline is no ordinary wolf. She figured it would take a better part of a minute for her wolves to arrive, and so had taken it upon herself to relax as much as possible. This was a new start, after all, since they had left what little remained of their home. This was something they would build up together, because that’s one of the key aspects of the Satanican blood line- loyalty and devotion. Seline clearly portrayed this trait when it came to her immediate family, while she had always remained loyal to the rest of their kin- but her bonds with her father, brother, and her two children were the strongest of them all. Granted her uncle Liquid had been around before they lost their home, she had not seen him since and wasn’t even sure if he was alive at this point. She had grown fond of the older male from his visits to her father, Saladin, and while she had not treated him the way she did her father, she respected him enough to actually like him. But as Seline’s mind wandered further and further from present day, a sudden cologne wafting against the gentle evening breeze brought the lady slamming back into her senses. Her frame tensed for a moment, before her olfactory senses alerted her that the male was still a bit ways off. Thank god- what would the boy have thought, coming across an Alpha who seems to be lost in her own world? Day dreaming, of all things.

Seline is able to compose herself for a few minutes as she awaits the males approach. Merely focusing her mind and taking a few, much needed, deep breaths the new Alpha is prepared to meet her first wolf. He arrives quicker than she had anticipated, but this was merely something to be noted as positive. He must be quick, was a sort of conclusion for Seline’s thoughts. And then came her first inspection, in which she allowed her bright emerald gaze to roam across every curve of the males’ body, taking in everything he had to show and assessing him on the spot. A slender build and toned muscles told her that the boy was fast, that while he may not have brute strength, he must be fast and nimble on his feet. His bright golden irises seem to gleam in almost exhausted light, showing that he was indeed taking her in as well. The boy must have excellent vision as well, Seline mused silently to herself. Seeing as I’ve placed myself where I’d hoped they wouldn’t see me quite clearly enough.. ah well, life goes on. There was no expression lacing her features as these thoughts ran through her mind, there was simply her brilliant gaze which continued to assess and observe, and then she gave him what he had been waiting for after his short speaking- an acknowledgement. "Greetings to you in return, Kodiack. I am in fact the new Alpha you speak of and- yes, you are correct again that my name is Seline. Welcome to a brighter future." Her voice was lilted with an amused smiled that graced her slender muzzle, as the tone of her voice seemed to alter slightly as the expression spread across her features. There was no wince this time as she grinned, though the pain was still there of course but Seline had already accepted it- she was no focusing on the most important matter here, her pack.

Though she wasn’t quite done with Kodiack as she then continued speaking, her voice slipping past her maw cool and smooth, her tone being one of invitation. "Take a seat, love. Once more faces show, we can begin." She retained her smile for him a moment longer before another unfamiliar cologne forced her attention away. The smile wasn’t wiped completely off her maw, but her lips merely resumed their neutral expression as another male silently made his way into the clearing. This time it was a pair of intense grey eyes that met with Seline’s own emeralds, the gleam in which seemed to be an intensely and ferociously burning flame. The Queen liked the boy instantly, and without hesitation a grin soon tugged at her lips, causing the torn flesh on her muzzle to shift slightly. The result was a fresh minute stream of crimson cascading down the side of her muzzle, before she absentmindedly flung the unneeded dampness from her muzzle with a flick of her skull. Her gaze never wavered from his though, as she quickly did what she had done with Kodiack, and what she would do with all of her wolfs- first inspection. The fire she had glimpsed within the red headed males gaze was the first thing that had sparked Seline’s own inner passenger other then the fight she had ensued. Her grin had turned into a rather pleased grin as she watched the new male draw closer. He seemed to keep his attention completely off Kodiack as he drew closer to the regal lady, his focus and sole intent on her and her alone. Such special treatment she was receiving, but then again, she was quite special, wasn’t she? She had rightfully earned her position as Alpha, and obviously held strength and power with her obvious victory. Would the rest of her wolves believe such a thing as well?

He appeared rather cautious and respectful as he continued his approach, halting a mere yard from the lady hidden within the shadows before he even dared to allow his jaw to tilt up, his intense grey irises finding her fourm more clearly before. And what Seline observed within those steel irises pleased her and caused the corner of her lip to twitch, as if she were about to laugh but no sound came forth, nor did her jaw part with the intention of doing so. Instead she was content to merely gaze down upon the male with silent satisfaction, until he dipped his head low in silent submission. She knew it was out of respect for her, and so felt no need to point out that submissions weren’t exactly required, but it never hurt to do so. Instead what words came past Seline’s maw were that of welcome, questioning him for an address. "Welcome, stranger, to Andere Seite. I am Seline, now Alpha of this land- our meeting shall begin shortly. You’re welcome to stick around; but first, mind giving me a name?" Her voice was quiet, as the meager distance between them allowed her to keep her tone low and subtle. Kodiack could have easily picked up on the greeting if he had wished, but Seline made no attempt to include him in greeting. It wasn’t that the lady was ignoring the other male- not even close to it. She simply believed that for her to be a successful Alpha- she had to learn her wolves on name-to-name basis, not title-to-title basis. The still nameless male was quick to turn on his heel to retreat a small ways from Seline, taking a rather relaxed laying position against the bed of the forest, all of his senses obviously focused on the approach of any others, and for anything else anyone had to say.

She would have continued to wait for him to speak before doing so herself, but it seemed yet another wolf seemed to be approaching. Though this time the scent was distinctly the perfume of a female, who interestly had the musky cologne of Seline’s big brother, Valiant, laced within her pelt. The scent was not strong, so it was obvious her brother had not touched the damsel, but he had seemingly met her upon the border. But where was Vali himself? With a weary expression across her features Seline finally took in the lass who had finally reached their small but ever growing gathering. She made her way directly before Seline, her voice sweet as it slipped forth. She first stated the obvious- Seline had won Alpha ship of the pack, to which the Queen merely arched a mental brow, as if to ask, and your point is? And then the rest of her words slipped forth to the alabaster and crimson girl’s attentive audits. She claimed that she would never submit, which Seline would have brushed off easily- but what caused her audits to swivel and pin back slick against her skull, and her own lips to curl up in a savage snarl of her own was what she heard next. The girl, this little dainty bird had the audacity to growl at Seline, and then in a moment of miraculous surprise- the girl did it again.
