Traydon River

This river is famously known for its fish!

The big malamute snorted a little, shaking off his fur in the cold water. It was rainy and miserable and dark and all he wanted now was to curl up at the fireside, snuggle into a synthetic human carpet or even against some other dog and nurse the scrape on his muzzle, but no. It seemed the lion would not leave him alone, not for a moment. Koguma huffed a little, taking a cautious step away from Maliki, getting himself a little deeper into the river but not enough that the current would sweep him away. There was a good five feet between them now, though truthfully if he put enough force behind it Maliki could likely leap that and land reasonably close to Koguma - close enough to attack, anyway. The water would slow them down, but the malamute didn't want to leave his entire defense strategy to nature.

His big brown eyes watched as the lion dipped his paw in the water, a slight smirk crossing his face as he saw the big cat's reaction: aggression, fear, annoyance. His own ears pressed against his head as he noted Maliki's body language, watching for signs of attack - tense haunches, the feral pre-pounce posture of felines, though Maliki simply looked angry now. Koguma said nothing in response, not wanting to goad the big cat into attacking him. He just wanted to find somewhere dry and warm to sleep...
