At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

The girl didn’t want to talk, hackles raised a growl had tumbled from her angel like neck; he was took back but allowed himself to keep talking, and laughing. Laughing was the best medicine after all. It kills the sour in you. Well, a laugh and a smile, both important in the key of life. Okay yes, Amatus knew she was in no mood to have a chat but that didn’t keep him from trying – yeah he was irritating, obnoxious, oblivious and not funny. But, he wanted to bring some light into the girl’s world even if it for merely a second, a minute. His great voice continued to talk and, the lady seemed to grow sicker and sicker of it. His ears, up and alert had gone down slightly in the cease of excitement – she was too much of a cow right now. Still, he continued on, pausing frequently to give her a chance of speaking. But no, Miss Sour-puss refused to even split a smile! His face longer gave a heart-warming smile, instead it was replaced by a neutral, I don’t care anymore face. This obnoxious lady had ruined his fun and happiness not to mention his day!
His voice had drained from the cheerfulness that it was, becoming a slightly mumbled and slurred. She didn’t care, so why should he? His eyes seemed to droop and his swatter of a tail ceased to move. The lad stopped talking; he had for a while and only was the silence shattered when the lass spoke up. Rearing to have a go at him! He was astounded as she titled him an arrogant little punk. A growl was working up in his muzzle, though it could not be heard; only felt by the stag. He felt his dignity being shattered as he was called these terrible things.

‘I’m not like your loyal subjects wherever you came from. I will kick your royal backside if you try any funny business with me. You got it? You’re not in your perfect kingdom with your perfect life anymore, this is real life and you’re going to fall to earth with the biggest thud if you don’t change.’

“Loyal subjects? Royal butt? What are you going on about? I left my ‘perfect kingdom’ because I was alpha. I left because I would have been pathetic, do you see any muscles on me? No, I hate being waited on. It’s horrible; it makes you feel like you’re incapable of anything!” He snapped sharply, a snarl just skimming along the lyrics. “If you must know, I am living in the real world. Okay, so, you may have had a shitty life but it doesn’t give you the right to push wolves around!”

The girl, smelling of a peaceful scent of earth spoke once again but instead of the crude words she had once spoken, she introduced her name. Yoki; it was an unusual name but it felt sweet on his tongue as it rolled. The earthy aroma filled his nose in a delightful way. “It is a…pleasure to meet you? Now, I’m sorry if you are not used to wolves of my company but I shall not stand for the rudeness. I may talk in posh words, but truly I am not and you ought to trust me with this. I like bouncing in puddles, rolling in mud and diving into the riches of water. So please, don’t think of me as pompous, or that I am thinking of you as little because you have probably gone through more than ever will have – so you are the biggest one. Holding your head high with dignity. Boy do I ramble; I really do need to learn to be hushed.” He apologized, in an Amatus kind of way.

The boy rose, gave one nod to Yoki and bounced off of her den territory, and walking into the waterfall. The crystalline was calm and peaceful at that moment; he bounced from rock to rock. “Feel free to join me.” He called out, directing it to Yoki. The liquid ran through his pads in a frequent movement, fast and free it ran where little creatures swam. The sun soaked the ground, it wasn’t extremely hot but it was not cold. It was just perfect.

So I'm just thinking about how much I don't want my life to be boring. There is so much I want to do and so many places I want to go - but I don't really think it's ever going happen. I just don't want to be one of those people who work somewhere they hate or live somewhere they don't want to live. But I feel like I'm going live here forever and not get a chance to see everything I want to see. I feel like my dreams are to unrealistic.
