Fayte gave the dun mare a smile. She was a kind mare. And the dun looked rather lost. But Fayte didn’t want to give a wrong indication of anything. She was no lead, nor was she a stallion. But she could be kind. And that was something.
“Good,” Fayte said. “I was afraid you were going to pass out or something.” She thought about what to say next. Her mind was still a little sluggish - she’d been asleep not ten minutes ago. So, conversation wasn’t coming so easily.
“Uh… you hungry? There’s lots of new grass growth on the river,” She offered. A meal wouldn’t be too bad. And traditionally, meals were a thing to offer when meeting someone new - at least that’s what Fayte was pretty certain about. She shook, sending some leaves and grass flying. Her mane beat against her, and her tail swatted some insects as she waited the dun’s answer. But the mare looked hunted. No she looked like she was running.
But why would she be running? What was so terrifying to this creature in front of her? Well, somethings only time could tell. Fayte was rather hoping the mare would stick around. She could use some companionship.
