During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

Serris grumbled atop his rock. It was an odd sight, a giant boulder sticking right out of the ground in the middle of the forest, but he found it oddly alluring and unconsciously decided to make it his central base. It took a mighty leap in just the right spot to get up on top of the stone, and from most angles it looks unscale-able, so he grew quite fond of the spot. Now his lean ebon body was stretched out across the highest point, a sharp edge rudely stabbing up into his ribs but he ignored it. He was too lost in his foul mood to care. But it was always the same ol’ same ol’ stuff he was down about; not enough activity in his pack. Sure, he was a new Alpha and all, and these lands weren’t exactly the most active of the packs, but still. Cracking his sore neck, Serris continued his annoyed musings, wondering when they could finally go on a pack hunt or when he could finally hand out ranks and jobs. Letting out a heavy sigh, the regal stood from his position and roughly hoped down from his throne, hitting the ground with a tendon-screaming thud. Yeah yeah, whatever. His stomach was crying at him and he figured he might as well distract himself with some food.

The rabbit was quick to kill. The second hare was a bit more of a challenge, but in the end its snowy pelt was stained with dripping rubies and it was soon nothing but fur and bones on the side of a clearing. Not much, but it would shut up his stomach for a little while. That’s when a shriek erupted through the forest and Serris bolted upright, wondering if it were another rabbit making that horrible cry. Another back member hunting? He didn’t smell anyb-… wait! There! A stench he did not know curled about his nares, teasing him. An intruder? Damn it all. A snarl quickly found its rightful place and Serris turned on a dime, rocketing off to where the scent was most heavily concentrated. The whole time the hairs upon his nape stood at full attention and his banner held firmly over his platform. He’d show them who the damn ruler of these lands was. Trembling ivories parted as the dark male let out a coughing growl, auds disappearing into his crown. In a flash of red fury he was at the borders and his muzzle found the base of a tree where his mark had been overturned. Bloody bastard… Then Serris actually took a whiff of the urine and nearly fell flat on his face. A female. And a pup too. Such a stupid little creature had dared to mark over histerritory and then continued on through the border?! The silver-tinged King wasn’t sure if this fact made him even more upset or just plain confused. Whatever his feelings be, the he-beast had to find this little girl and throw her out by the scruff. He wouldn’t let a runt make him look like a fool.

Serris tracked the scent through a shallow region of the territory, fur still bristled but not as much as it had been. That’s when he happened upon a bush that had been obviously disturbed, tiny paw prints scattered all over the place. A certain spot of ground seemed burdened with alien dirt, but after that the tracks just led further into his pack. What had happened? Perhaps the little shit had got scared by a butterfly. Serris snickered, raising his skull as he made the sickly sound. He let a raised fore linger in the atmosphere as he flicked his tassel in devilish pleasure at the idiotic thought; the moment was short lived, though, since he was back to tracking this little girl. The scent grew ever stronger and he knew he was getting close; the perfume of developing estrogen seemed to be overwhelming to his senses. The earth grew damper beneath his claws and his larger bulk made his bulk sink into the mud, leaving tracks much deeper than this pup’s shallow ones. A few freestanding puddles of liquid passed by his sides, but the odor he had been stalking seemed to concentrate by the largest. He stopped at the edge, a single talon dipping into the pool’s edge and causing the surface to ripple. He focused on the dark blob that was his visage until the picture cleared up and all he saw were two shining sapphire luminaries staring back at him. He took a moment to study his features, noticing the red spider webs coloring the edges of his spheres. Shaking his skull, Serris turned and tracked the scent once again. The tiny prints grew farther apart, letting Serris know that she had begun to run. Maybe she realized where she was and decided to high-tail it out of there. Ha, wishful thinking. His gaze was spaced out when he rounded a tree and bumped right into a standing bush of fur. What the-?! The girl! She fell asleep?! Backing up a step, the commander let a deep growl burn from his throat. It was obvious that he was annoyed with her presence here. Acting rashly, the brute took a harsh grip of her scruff and flung her over into a clearer area of the forest where she couldn’t hide from him. Then he padded over, pelt fully bristled, plume aching as it arched over his spine, pools nothing but slits upon his face. He came right over her, wrinkled muzzle to puny face.

“Who the hell do you think you are, tiny bitch?” Cursing in front of the kids? Screw it, he was pissed. This wasn’t lovely little Spring Grounds. “I could rip your head clean off right now, so why don’t you be a good little whore and tell me why I shouldn’t?” Why did he give her the chance to save herself? Who knew, maybe Serris was in a more gracious mood than he thought. Whatever the case, he continued looming over her smaller frame, knowing very well he had no intention of letting the lass stay within these borders. The last thing he needed around here was… her.
