The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

I've Fallen Down The Rabbit Hole

Water. It was a life giving fluid and without it, you shall die. Of course, that didn’t matter to the snow white queen whose salmon organ darted out before returning with the prized fluid to the ice colored muzzle. Pale sage optics peer around; spaced out and a tad glazed over. This is a normal look for the young white lass, whose title comes as Verity, though she doesn’t actually remember her name. But, like everything she forgets, she’s sure that she’ll remember sometime. The ice pelted vixen dances through the shrubbery, sage optics holding a sparkle. She was excited, anyone who wasn’t blind could tell. Her tail was in an unsteady, quick rhyme behind her. She had decided to join a pack. She hadn’t worked out the kinks, like which pack she was going to join, but she figured the first one she stumbled upon would work the best. As her snow coated pistons danced along the earth below her, Verity was trying and failing to make out where she was. The water she had drunk came from a small stream, no sign of a landmark to make out where she was. Then again, the young lass never actually knew where she was so right now it was like every other day in her life. She continued her dancing gait as she moved through the shadowy forest that, little did she know, surrounded Abendrot. She paused, her eyes shining as another river played into her view. Unlike last time, playfulness filled her sage gaze as she bounded towards the flowing water. She leapt in, her whole body dunking into the icy liquid. She popped back up after a few seconds, the alabaster fur sticking to her frame. She shook head, scattering water droplets in all directions. Ah, that felt nice.

Verity continued to splash in a very pup like fashion in the river, perfectly fine and dandy. Little did she know, she was playing in Romance River. Ah, she was such a silly little enchantress. The alabaster enchantress played for who knows how long, all she knew was she was too cold to play anymore. Yes, the summer sun beat down on her spine as she climbed out of the freezing waters but she was a peculiar maiden indeed. She continued her romp through the forest, her alabaster coat picking up dirt and leaves and she ran around. By the time she actually reached Abendrot territory, her fur was a light brownish shade; except her face. She crossed the border effortlessly and playfully ran through the trees, Gazing upwards at the dark trees that towered above her. She tripped over her paws and fell face first into the dirt. She stayed there for a few minutes, giggling at how tall the trees were, but utterly failing and instead got a mouthful of dirt. She picked herself up and began to cough, spitting out dirt. She dragged her teeth across her tongue in an effort to ride her mouth of the dirt. “Ew. Dirt tastes bad.” She mumbled, her nose wrinkling in distaste. She decided to slow to a trot instead of running around out of fear of tripping and eating dirt again. She shook her fur out to ride it of the loose dirt she had picked up during her fall, but it didn’t help much. She was entirely a light brownish shade, thanks to her face plant. She trotted through the dark forest, her sage optics wide in wonder. The scent of many wolves was overpowering, but it was nice, in a way. She didn’t mind it at all.

The white vixen hadn’t been walking very long through the forest that was Abendrot when a strong, powerful howl rang through the woods and alerted her. Her tail wagged once more, even quicker then before. She wiggled in excitement, unsure of what to do with herself. The howl had called for others to come to him. That meant there were other wolves here! She jumped around in a circle for a few moments before whipping around and running towards the sound. Her hind legs moved as fast as her front and so, once more, she tripped. Luckily, this time she didn’t face plant. She twisted at the last second and after her paw being caught on a root as she went flying, she landed with a “Uf” on her side. She paused for a minute, letting her breath return to her body. She returned to standing and walked off the pain in her shoulder, but soon she was racing towards the clearing. But, luck was not pleasant to Verity and she ended up tripping and literally falling into the clearing. She rolled back onto her paws with ease, though, and looked around, her whole body wagging with her tail at this point. She could see a few wolves with a snowy pelt to match hers, though hers wasn’t exactly white anymore. She could clearly see a massive ice brujo; He must have been the one to call them. Another wolf she could see, which was odd seeing as he was in the shadows, was a brownish male. He was laying down, looking annoyed. Her head tilted as she gazed at him curiously before she turned and bounded through the crowd towards the icy dragon who must have been all powerful and stuff because the wolves were all looking at him.

She stopped in front of him, forcing her paws into the dirt and lurching forward. She could see one female, who was rubbing on him like a fox in heat. Her eyes sparked with amusement at her, she was obviously into this brujo, but even clueless Verity knew that rubbing on him in front of others was not the way to get a male to like you. Especially not this one and especially not in front of his minions. The other female was the one who caught and held her attention though. She was white with black smudges and then there were her eyes. They were two different colors! She couldn’t remove her gaze from the female for a few long seconds. Then her body began to wiggle as her tail wagged. She gazed up at the female, an almost sheepish smile on her face. ”Your pretty.” With that she turned her attention onto the white demon before her. She smiled up at him, her sage optics curious and off course, a bit spacey looking. Of course, one would think she was insane; Her eyes were all funked up, her pelt was dirty and spiked up because she had been running around instead of letting it dry, and off course there was the fact she said something almost toddlerish to the Beta. But then again, that was Verity.
