During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

we are the inseparable world, the earth and the sky
we are the seas and the shores, you and I
(( terribly sorry for the short post, long work day on little sleep :/ ))

While they were waiting patiently for someone to find them, the boys mused over things with each other. "This pack, what do you think they'll be like, Set? What does their territory look like? Is it nice? Is it a gentle terrain, easy for me?" The ebony brother was used to Rise's ramblings, he had the patience of a saint and simply waited for the boy to finish. "It is a nice place, brother, caught in the grip of autumn. The leaves fall in patterns of gold and auburn and the late sunshine filters through the spaces they leave. The terrain seems level enough, though the roots of the trees tumble through in places, but they don't look too hard to navigate." Set trailed off, though his brother could coax more from him, he'd never been much of a speaker. Though he did have a way with words.

Silence fell once more around the pair, but it didn't last long. Rise's snowy ears shot upright as he caught sound of small paws crashing through the undergrowth, their unsteady rhythm and softer tread marking them as belonging to very young individual. He nudged his brother's leg and the pair watched and listened as the youngster in question came closer. Set saw her dash through the trees, a flash of brown that came closer and closer until it slid and crashed nearby, quite spectacularly. He stood still, his face in an expression of bemused confusion, whilst his brother's own face grew into an identical expression.

The little russet blob seemed to right herself in moments, trotting over to the boys like a happy little urchin. She raised her head and tail in an adorable imitation of an alpha, bringing a smile to Set's normally serious face. 'I am Kobato! Princess of Munashii Gekko! Submit and show your gullet!' With a soft chuckle, the ivory brother rose to his paws and took a few, friendly paces towards the puppy, drinking in her scent as he did so. "Well hello there little princess. I am Rise and this chunky fella is my brother, Set. Please excuse us if we don't submit to a pup, but we'd be happy to do so to your parents if they're about?" His tone was neither condescending nor unfriendly, rather gentle and warm.

It didn't take long for Kobato to break down and let out a sweet little giggle, happiness exuding from her like a beautiful smell. Rise wanted desperately to see the little bundle of joy, but all he could do was look expectantly to where his brother stood. Understanding what he wished, Set brushed close to his pale brother and dropped his deep voice to a mere whisper in Rise's ear. "She's a pretty little thing, coloured like the sun touched earth with bright little eyes. She shines like a light, but with happiness instead. She's cute." The description brought a smile to the pale brother's eyes as he imagined what Set described.
