During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

we are the inseparable world, the earth and the sky

(( late sorry, been playing with my new lappie. also, my terrible writing again :/ ))

The twin boys hadn't been long in this land, this 'Munashii Gekko', but already they'd met three members. Well, almost. The bouncy little pup had been the first to greet them, introducing herself as Kobato, the little russet princess. She was an odd one, that one, her words strange but her happiness was infectious. Both boys had taken an immediate liking to her, she was clearly young, innocent and naive, untainted by the hardships of the world. That was not to say she hadn't experienced any, but she was too young, or perhaps, too skilled, to let them affect her positive outlook. Or that's the way they saw her. 'Roni' was the next one they'd met, her fur stained with blood and her attitude a lot less... sweet. Rise wasn't bothered by her, he was pleasant to all and everyone and found it hard to dislike. Set, however, had taken a dislike to the white female, sensing that she was hiding something. He was not one to hold a grudge so the future could easily change his mind. The last wolf the pair had met was the king, Serris. The meeting was momentarily, the big male had slid in, grabbed the pup and run off again, a quick few words the only indication as to who he was. The boys weren't sure what to make of him, though they always remembered to respect an Alpha. It wasn't an easy position to reach.

Set and Rise were alone again however, this had happened and that had happened, leaving the pair to wander the border. Set was a little ticked off, he was an impatient fellow and felt it rude to be left, as if the others all had more important things to do than grow their pack. Rise was more accepting, he knew that sometimes other things could take you in other directions, they would wait and someone would see them once more. If they wandered off from the border, it would just show that they were not worthy of joining. Not patient nor determined enough. No, they would wait. "Brother, settle yourself. They will return, busy pack is a good sign, is it not?" The black brute sighed, he knew his ivory brother was right but he still didn't like it. "I suppose, but they could at least tell us. You know how I feel about these things." Rise smiled, he knew all too well.

The contrasting boys stayed by the border for a while longer, chatting about this and that, sharing their views on this new land and how it could bring them closer to finding their sister, Sun. Their talks were cut short however, as a howl rang out through the lands. It sounded as the sun was beginning to rise across the horizon, strong, powerful and most definitely an Alpha call. A call for a meeting. "Hmph, so that's what they're doing without us. How nice." The white boy playfully tugged on his brother's tail, knowing his grumpiness was part and parcel of who he was. "Why don't we, rather than moaning about it, join them at the meeting? Eh? I'm sure the call was for newcomers also." Set grumbled softly to himself, but he complied with his brother's request, crossing the border and passing into the lands of Munashii Gekko. Rise stuck close, his shoulder brushing against the black boy so he knew where he was going.

It took them perhaps longer than most to cross the packlands, hampered as they were by Rise's disability. Eventually however, they could hear the gathered wolves up ahead, Rise's keen white ears picking up their conversation before his brother. They soon broke the tree cover, the scent of water and wolf strong in the crisp morning air. Both boys kept their bodies non-threatening, tails down and stance relaxed. While Rise drank deep of the air and the scents, Set took a quick, cursory glance of the company. He recognized the white she-wolf swiftly, his eyes narrowing in instant dislike. He made no move or sound however, quickly moving on to the others. He knew his brother would prefer for them to make a good impression, though he was reluctant to hide his feelings. He noted two males, their coats similar, one brown and one black, both with red and white markings. They seemed close, Rise could smell their intertwining scents and knew, like Set, that these two had been friends for a long time. The boys moved their gaze onto a dark female with white markings, quickly deducing that she was the one that most belonged here. There was something... at ease with her, like she knew this land better even than the alpha himself.

That brought the pair to gaze at Serris, and from him to the fluffy little bundle of joy. Set's eyes lit up immediately, and, picking up on that and the scent, Rise couldn't stop a grin forming on his face. It soon faded though, his keen nose picking up something that didn't seem right. There was something off in her smell and Rise realized she was sick. "Set, the little princess, she is not well." He whispered to his brother in an undertone, before stepping towards the alpha and sensing Set stick to his side. "Lord Serris, sir, I hope you don't mind our presence. Is... is she alright?" His pale blue eyes saw nothing in particular, but the scent of sickness tugged at his nose and cloyed the air around him. They were, most obviously, outsiders, lone wolves wishing to join this already established family. But the russet youngster had already made an impression on the boys, her infectious good nature had endeared her to them and they were genuinely worried for her wellbeing.
