The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

Tyson sat still for a while, his grey pelt rustling gently as a breeze jostled past. It was slightly chilly, sending a set of shivers through him during a particularly harder gust, but didn’t bother him too much otherwise. Light brown ears twitched, orbs moving rapidly, and he used the majority of his senses to check out the adults who kept appearing. Not one to be afraid, Tyson felt put out that being around so many odd acting strangers put him a little on edge. He felt like eyes were watching him and his ears fell slightly as he glanced around, not paying attention to the conversation.

The young pup shook his head after looking to each of them, as if realising how paranoid he seemed. Although he was relatively independent, his mother’s ever constant presence in his life so far was now very noticeable. He felt more vulnerable without her thick pelt brushing against him, or her dark eyes piercing him at his every movement. However, he still believed that she’d come to get him soon; there was no reason for him to be afraid when she was watching out for him. She’d also been the one to tell him to find Andere Seite. He trusted she wouldn’t send him here if it would put him in danger.

Tyson scowled as the adults carried on talking, wondering whether he was meant to wait with the alpha female or just be in the pack lands to get picked up. With nobody paying attention to him, he turned his mind to finding something interesting to do. He scented the air, small nose stuck up and eyes half closed, but all he could smell was the wolves surrounding him. Dropping his head, the trouble maker looked to the ground in time to see a large beetle scuttling across the dirt in front of his paws.

With a lopsided grin, the bold pup stood slowly. His tail was held in a dominant position, though as a pup it was merely showing his playfulness as a pose to a challenge for the alpha. His eyes gleamed as he ducked into a play bow and froze, oblivious to all other activity. His mind narrowed in on the insect, a smirk overtaking the grin. His over sized paw reached out slowly and then quickly batted the ground in front of the beetle. In the process a bit of dirt blew up, dusting around his face. He breathed in a deep breath before letting out a sneeze into the floor, body shaking with the strength of it.

The beetle, out of fear, moved faster to get away and out of the pup’s reach. Boredom turned playfulness quickly switched to annoyance as his ‘prey’ scuttled away, and the pup growled with a deeply set scowl, jumping forward to land with the beetle between his front paws. “Got you now,” he muttered to himself through a snarl, not noticing as the insect unfurled its wings. In fact, he didn’t realise it could fly until it buzzed past his face, startling him into falling onto his hind quarters. He grumbled and raised a paw to swipe at the retreating insect, resulting in the opposite to what he wanted happening. The force pulled the rest of him down and the irritated pup ended up on his back with a small thud and a large huff of annoyance.
