During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

Worry consumed his every move, flowed from his pillars as he walked and left puddles in his wake. Kobato was sick, and as much as he was still annoyed by the girl he was still deeply concerned. This was no fatherly concern; no, this was the fret of an Alpha. She was part of the pack, afterall, part of his family, and he refused to see her unwell. And so his current activities amounted to pacing around the pack lands and checking in on the little one. Devil’s Angel had brought some herbs for the little one to take, but he doubted if she would be very perceptive to that. Afterall, they say that the better something is for you, the worst is tastes. Maybe that’s why blood tastes so sweet. But he wouldn’t rest until she was fully better and back to her bouncy self.

Serris was at a small spring on a brief reprise from his duties, lapping up the water with greedy need. This might take longer than he thought... A sigh escaped his ebon lips. The meeting he had planned died with its first breath, and although he could place the blame on Kobato he wouldn’t. Next time. There will always be a tomorrow. But now a scent caught his attention, one that he knew, but one that had disappeared some time ago. A snarl curled on his kissers and the boy took a step towards the borders, blue eyes suddenly steely cold. He began to make his way forward, each step slow, deliberate, calculating. Oh, she thought she could just show up again, waltz back into his pack? He could smell the sex on her, even from this distance. Not that this was the reason of his attack. No, things went much deeper than that. God damn it, he had showed interest in that fae, accepted her into his pack with wide arms and a wink, was even going to give her a rank above worthless Omega. Fury burned within his gut, almost making him wretch, but he held it back and simply pushed forward, knowing that this wait would kill her, and honestly not caring.

When he finally arrived on the scene he said nothing, not even allowing her the tip of a head in greeting. His pools were acid, leaving traces of fire across her light pelt. His visage was completely emotionless, although the weariness from Kobato duties could be seen if anyone dared to look hard enough. Still, he kept the silence like a wall between them. It wasn’t even the love that irked him so. She could use her body however she wished; this was certainly not his concern, although in a way he wished it was. It had been a long time since his last serious relationship, if you could even call it serious to begin with. Frequent fuck buddies was more like it. But no, her nether region was none of his concern. What pissed him off was her absence. Such a family she had found and she wasn’t even present for the first of meetings. It was special to him, and although it didn’t turn out the way he had hoped, it allowed him to see who still cared enough to stick around. And when she didn’t show... well, he was more than a little disappointed. His spheres wavered slightly, their surfaces gleaming. “Having fun, were we?” His words were flat, the words of a man who had broken a heart he didn’t even know he had.
