Muse tilted his head sideways... and kept tilting it upon its long, muscular neck until his face was nearly upside down. He was contemplating how best to answer the difficult question she had posed him with - what was he like? Did he know himself? Could he tell her, if he did, without painting a poor image of his sister? For Muse was aware of the abusive relationship they shared. He accepted it out of love and familial loyalty. It was worth any regret that came of Mystral's cruelty. Such things would always pass. His affection and need for his sister would not.

He was wondering whether or not to explain this when Niaki became distracted by Mystral's taunting. Muse sighed through his nose, feeling deprived by the sudden loss of her attention. That too, of course, would pass.

Mystral, for her part, took advantage of the female leopard's concern, her eyes lighting up with a glow like sunlight through endless gray clouds.
"Why?" She asked in a rasping hiss. "I not hurt him. Yet." Almost as an afterthought, she turned her head back to face Renzo. "I not hurt you, yes?" There was a mocking undertone to the question. She didn't bother to hide the fact that this was all a wicked game to her. Deception could be useful, but honesty - at least partial honesty - was often a much greater delight. To watch her pray walk into a trap even when they could see it clear as day, that was the greatest victory in her mind.
