Today was a beautiful day. The sun was shining brightly in the sky without a single cloud in the sky. No storms would be making an appearance from the smell of the land and the birds sang their happy love songs high in the trees. A single, black wolf laid under a tree with half of her body in the shade, the other in the sun. Her eyes were closed, but she was not asleep. Jaye was listening to Glorall. She could hear a rabbit moving quietly through the undergrowth as it nibbled on clovers. The others in its warren were close by as they each took turns keep watch for hungry predators. Jaye wasn't hungry, so they had nothing to fear from here. Not that she could hunt them anyways. The river bubbled close by as it made the never ending journey to the ocean waves that crashed upon the sandy shores. There were also two wolves close by talking with each other, though their words were mumbled and muted. The wind was carrying their scents away from Jaye so she could not be sure who they were, only that they were obviously wolves of Glorall. This she could tell by the relaxed tones of their voices. Jaye sat up with a grunt and sniffed the air. It didn't seem like there were other wolves around and the old female felt a bit lonely. She wanted to get to know her pack mates, the very wolves she depended on every day. Did they know how much she needed them? Could they even begin to realize how important they all were to Jaye? Probably not. It was time to fix that. Time to tell them what she thought of them and how thankful she was that they brought her food every night. Jaye stood up and shook her dark pelt free of the dirt and leaves that clung to it before making her way slowly towards the river. Each paw step was carefully planned and timed just right as they carried Jaye closer to the river. Her eyes stared blankly a head, the scar over her left eye standing out above her fur, yet her ears were up and forward as she listened intently to her surroundings. Once the moist mud of the riverbed was under paw, she turned to the left and continued making her way down stream to the sound of voices. Keeping close to the river meant it would take her right to them but it could also be dangerous if she were to fall in. The damp soil told her how close she was to the water’s edge and that she was safe enough to not fear the cool rapids. It didn't take Jaye long to find them, the two wolves who had been talking before. One was a girl who she did not know, the other was young Pan. He was talking about... something and from the sounds of it, the girl didn't understand either. Jaye chuckled and moved towards the river and stood at its bank staring with dead eyes at where she thought the wolves would be. "Pan, what are you up to now? And who is that pretty girl with you?"
