Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

He was the last. The last of litter of half-breeds and defective degenerates that marred her family line. Traitors if only for their blood, and Caligula was always ready to end that line. To abolish the creatures that marred what she, Tesseract and Celesdue had set up so perfectly. They were pure. They were perfection. And Vidar, well, Vidar was the one glaring reminder of her mother's infidelities. Of the beginning of the end of Ruvindra's reign of perfection in Caligula's eyes. It had only been a downward spiral from them. She loved her mother, certainly, but she barely respected her now. She would never hurt the goddess that had given life to her, but she would not tolerate being submissive to her anymore. Ruvindra had taken too long to recover and really, she wasn't quite recovered yet anyways. Caligula was growing stronger and soon, very soon, she would be an adult. She would be able to no longer play the part of a pup, a child. Instead she could lead nations. Build them up or tear them down as she wished. All with her love, her equal, her Sun Prince by her side.

Yet, the presence...the very life of Vidar irked her. A lasting, living, breathing reminder of her Mother's short comings. Her infidelity to the wolf that dedicated his soul for her. And for what? To be set aside by for a wolf that could not be open with her. The bitter taste sprung into her mouth as she though of Vague. Vague, the seeming Lord. She would see how long that lasted. Vague was meant to be a tool to be used. Not the user themselves. Oh Vague, she would play the game now, but when the moment arose, she would deal with him accordingly as well. But for now, she satisfied herself with hunting Vidar.

He had made a horrible mistake. He left the safety of Iromar. Within the confines of her Mother's domain, Caligula dared not to openly attack her unclean brother. Sure, her lip remained ever raised to him, and she did not include him on any adventures she might embark upon but she would never openly attack with her mother present. As stated before, Caligula loved her mother and would never do anything to directly hurt her. Yet outside of Iromar...well, that was a dangerous place. If her mother's fears were true then the Angelic Assassins were out for their blood and Vidar's death could easily be pinned on them. Or perhaps one of the rogue wolves that always seemed to enter the crater. Or perhaps even Tobias had done the deed. She knew he could smell weakness on any creature and devoured the flesh of their own species. Would it be so unheard of for Vidar to be murdered in those ways? Surely not.

She padded along slowly, in no hurry. Let him get out farther and farther from home. Let him get lost in the tall grasses or the rocky areas that the crater held. She would find him. And she would tear his throat out before he even got the chance to scream. She follows his trail easily, and weaves through the damp swamp as he trailed further from Iromar's reaches. Finally the scent grows stronger, lingering stale in the air and she knew that she was close to his body. Seemingly involuntarily her lips curl up above those white teeth and pink gums, her wrinkled muzzle displaying her dislike for the boy. She rounds the tree with the twisted roots making a convenient spot to lay, protected by all sides but one. Yet, one was all Caligula needed. Just one spot of weakness, one opening to dash him like she had dashed his brother all those years ago. Ajax hadn't stood a chance and now as she looks at his sleeping form, she finds that she wants him to open his eyes. To see his death coming for him. He did not deserve to die in his sleep. He deserved to gurgle on the impure blood that cycled through his veins as she watched with a chunk of throat in her mouth. Or maybe she would rip open his belly and allow him to see what his own insides looked like, hold on to the loops of bowel like a leash to the collar of a dog, and yank as he tried to get away.

She stands over him, her silent snarl on her face, and her teeth ever so close to Vidar's neck. Yet still, she wanted those eyes open. She wanted the mar upon her bloodline to see who his killer was. To see who was purging her own bloodline of all the shortcomings it produced. Open your eyes Vidar, meet your death with open arms. After all, she is your sister.
