The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

“Oh yes I am quite content with that position; as you can see I am just one big muscular muscle. I could beat any wolf or beast so you have nothing to fear!” Terrel said with a grin, his chest pushed out as he attempted to emphasis his forged point. “Yes, yes, yes – I am ready to fight off any danger.” He teased with his white teeth clear to those who looked at the set. Of course this was all untrue; bogus lies if you like - to accompany her teasing. If he was confronted with a monster or a so called beast he would probably run a mile if not more although if loved ones or friends were caught up in the ‘trap’ he would fight. With good reasons he would attack. Would good reasons he would retreat. And that was the way his mind worked. But still all these lies would backfire on him someday and yet he knew it would not matter. He knew Mae understood that his lyrics were jokes, untrue gibberish. Not long after his previous words, Terrel added: “Oh yes, I’m sure you taste truly splendid. Yum; wolf blood with a mix of choked up fur. Who wouldn’t want a bite?”

Laughter echoed around the cavern, eager to continue with their journey. Terrel was glad when they finally started on. When they eventually settled down Terrel confessed snippets of his past. Mae seemed awkward about it, hesitant on what to do or say but Terrel did not mind in fact he felt gratitude that she did not say anything. He did not mind that he had confided this in her, it was not bloated with descriptive but just enough to express his reasons. The colourful brute was in fact satisfied that they were beginning to trust each other, after all isn’t that what all friends did?

As they sat, Terrel’s brown optics noticed the trembling vixen who sat in front of him. Her bodice gently vibrated as the water tickled her fur and the cold wind swept to and fro. After a while the young adult enquired if the wolf had any games. “Ah I see.” He said, concluding the little snippet of conversation. He had no games either. None at all and they had talked about post things so Terrel could not think of anything else to add. “Shame,” he muttered with a slight and perhaps awkward chuckle.

He had dozed into his little bubble, an asylum to him perhaps. Terrel barely even noticed the bitter wind that crossed the pair of wolves. It hardly fazed him but it was apparent that it caused Mae discomfort. The first thing he felt was small drops of water dampening his pelt. His eyes flickered up to the top of the cavern searching for any cracks that might have allowed rain in. His view turned over to Mae as she apologised – it had been her pelt. In relief, Terrel smiled. “It is fine, don’t worry about it.” He responded.

There was a small amount of silence before Mae shattered it proposing that it would be fine to continue on as it was too cold to be sitting around. Terrel’s tail thumped gently; he had had the intentions of continuing on until Mae had preferred staying. Although she asked him what his opinion was first. “I will prefer to go on, yes.” He said and picked himself up from the ground.

“Come along then Mae,” he said with his voice drawn up into a posh and self-confident sound. His movement was sluggish to begin with but it was soon refined to his normal walking pace and movement.
