Bright Moon - a land sullied by mystery and the ravaging scars of a terrible fire. Abandoned as a pack land for years, the terra has been used as a gathering place for the brazen and bloodthirsty drawn there by the lingering pall of death. Yet from the ashes there comes an unordained phoenix, the rainbow hues of hope glinting in her mismatched globes. Through the obsidian drapes obscuring the scenery, she alone was able to catch the perfumed aroma of new life on the breeze and hear the sluggish streams flowing ever swifter into the morning.

Thus, with a purpose, she set out to map the incognita, discovering daily the extent of the reawakening and unearthing within herself a desire to return the landscape to its former glory. Now she stands tall as privileged Alpha of the lands, lording over the rock-strewn prairie and bountiful forests with a firm but gentle paw.

Having finally realized her deepest longing to be a queen, Satowra is focused solely on the revival and maintenance of the Bright Moon Pack. Her question to each prospective warrior that comes to the border is simple:

"Do you have what it takes?"

The fae kept her stride steady and even, her lean body moving swiftly through the land, her small paws landing silently upon the ground. Occasionally, her amber gaze shifted to the brute who travelled with her on their mission. Although he was unknown to her, the scent of Sawtooth emanated from him, marking him as her packmate and ergo was trustworthy… in a sense. Kahlan knew that she could trust him in the task that they were on, but because he did not know the brute personally, the fae was happy that their mission was one of a peace offering, and not one of reconnaissance. As they travelled, her focus temporarily shifted to her brother, Henadin, who she had seen travelling with another brute toward Abendrot, and although she did not doubt her brother’s capabilities to stay unseen and safe, she worried about him, especially since she did not know the brute that travelled with Henadin either. She shook her russet head, focusing her energy on the task at hand. She glanced at the brute beside her, and opened her maw, not missing a step of her stride. “I am Kahlan… my brother and I were recently accepted to the pack. May I inquire of your name?” Her voice was soft and sweet, like silk.

She waited for his response, but her stride did not falter as she continued on course. Her nares lowered to the ground, taking in the scents that she was passing. They had been travelling along the edge of the winding river, and had already passed by the border of Andere Seite. If her memory served her correctly, they should be coming up Bright Moon pack’s boundary shortly. Just as that thought passed across her brain, the strong scent of a boundary inserted itself into her nares. A slight smile lit upon her maw, and she lengthened her stride. Within no time, they had arrived at the edge of Bright Moon, and Kahlan was careful to stay outside of the boundary. She respectfully tucked her tail between her hind legs as she raised her maw to the sky above and emitted a howl, calling to the alpha of Bright Moon. Her call too was sweet, more of a croon than anything else, her want of a peaceful treaty winding its way through her voice. After cutting it off, she lowered her maw and focused upon the brute beside her, studying his face and his body movements in the way she had learned to read her own brother’s movements.

Kahlan hoped that the brute would speak as they waited for the arrival of the alpha so that she could get to know him better. Knowing that alpha’s were often busy, she planted the weight of her bodice upon her hindlegs, keeping her tail tucked. Her mind lingered to the task at hand – her alphess Moth had set up tasks for her pack members, and the one that Kahlan had decided to undertake was the one that had brought her to this pack, to make an offer of alliance with the alpha Tamlin. Moth had mentioned that he had done great things for this pack, and Kahlan was excited that she had the chance to make such an offer to him.
