Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Up and over he moved, his limbs taking him from earth to fallen log and back once more; a game of sorts, really. In his loneliness he had taken to entertaining himself, making use of his free time to explore the memorize each and every corner of the world he had come to know. At times he could not help but wonder if where he stood had been so different years ago but for the most part, he simply accepted things as they were. Of course, he found himself thinking of his family more and more often at that point; what had happened to them? What had happened to Seren, too? He had been betrothed to her - they were to be mates when the time came and yet, he hadn't been given the chance to save her. He didn't get a chance to save any of them but who knew? Perhaps, like him, they had been unknowingly strong and had made it out. One could hope and hope he did.

He continued in his unusual fashion, his chest heaving slightly as he leapt about - his tongue lolled out, lips pulled up into a broad smile. It was fun at the end of the day and thankfully, the weather had taken a cooler turn; in summer, he was often resigned to moving about at night due to his luxuriously thick pelt. Now though? He had all the time in the world! The land was beautiful and ahead he could hear the sound of the wind bursting through the canopy; the smell of fresh water lingering over the soft earth. Paused for a moment, his gaze flickered from the thickets to the clearing ahead - a silent debate. After some moments, he shrugged his broad shoulders and leapt from his wooden throne, landing with a light thud and moving off at a bouncing lope. It had been when he broke through the tree line that he noticed the injured form of another; a shorter wolf, broad and stocky and marked with shades of grey and tan. Instinctively, Elric's gaze and golden ears rotated to meet the others - his mouth instantly fell into a soft 'o,' head tilted as he examined the other. No... could it be? The scent was so distantly familiar and yet... he could not be so sure. The memories of his father were so distant, shadowed in his youth - he had not even been two seasons old when he had been pulled away from his family.

"You there," he called, taking tentative strides forward with his head lowered slightly, his face alight with a quizzical expression. He paused again for a moment, frowning slightly in thought before he cleared his throat to speak once more, "Are you... is your name Vague?"
