Many wolves looking for relaxation come to Blossom Field. A gentle breeze vibrating the blossoming flowers is quite a sight to see and it is quite a favourite for wolves to come with their mates.

A recent fire has ruined the scenery, half the field covered with soot and marked with scars of the flames. The other half is untouched, however.

As he waited for her reply, Axel could not help but fidget. He hated himself for that. Not once-- not a single damn time in his whole life had he ever felt this uncomfortable. There were definitely times that came viciously close but this was on a whole new level. The scale of commanding it took for him to keep his pistons still was off the charts... and he couldn't do anything about his temptaciously abusive thought process. So she was named after a Queen? Cue the tune, "It's a small world afterall... It's a small world afterall..." Axel had been given the name of his pap, the sire of his father. Pap had sent mutiny upon a ship that wasn't in need of a new captain, and he became the King. Someone who overthrew the ruling family. The Bolsheviks? Their murder didn't come close to what pap did to the previous royals. Axel was named after a monster. Guess tainted blood ran in the family.

Her eyes fluttered away from his like a butterfly's, and he was stunned by the shyness. Too many times he had come into contact with whores who thought they were Tor's gift to the male gender. Sometimes they were... most times, they fell short a few thousand kilometers. No one's ever wanted to talk to me before He guffawed, his pillars stiffening. A prize indeed! Untouched, unsoiled! Something that was wonderous and beautiful and a crown jewel and-- Axel stopped his senseless inaudible rambling. CALM yourself, you fool. He snapped at himself, steadying his gaze as he sent it ranging back up her girlish form. Then, a bell was struck and the monarch, well out of his grounds, dropped all his masks. ”oh me? never, no. i have no partner, unless my father has arranged something, though i hardly think he has done so; after all who is there to love the likes of myself?” So many years he'd built these things up. Facades that would scare away the ghosts from times long lost to the acidic rains. Nothing but pup's talk was what emotion had been. Nothing at all... useless.. unable to be proven according to science. His words came quicker than his brain waves could.

"There is..." Two simple words fell into the silence after she had spoken. He did not move for mere seconds, and then he exhaled darkly. FOOL! Nix was going to kill him. His brother was going to kill him. King had approved of Nix. He had approved of little Mic and a growing Kessler as his blood relatives because of their potential to be great. By taking this dove as his own, the oily crow was asking for predators to come knocking on his door. Family would try to clip her wings. Friends would send shame to her pearly feathers in every direction. If she could not look him in the eye, did he expect her to be able to stand up to everyone that could? He danced nervously again, and then thought for a short while longer, his emeralds glinting in the sunshine.

Why was he thinking so much? He hadn't even touched her yet. He knew nothing about her, save for the fact that she bore the name of a Queen, the looks of royalty and the heart of an angel. But there was one thing he knew for certain. A piece of land from Paradise lay within reach. He need only step forward and claim it as his rightful property. Before someone else does. He lowered his audettes against his crown and lowered his iron walls. He was mere inches away from her. She knew not of his ranking. She knew not of his regality nor of his commitment to Nix. But Nix was not his mate. Pandora, as she was, knew nothing of the King of Cold Summers.

If one has ever seen a soldier, they should know exactly what to expect from Axel. Willingness to endure hardships, perserverance and loyalty. An iron will and a wall of steel that only trusted ones can take a step into. Now the wall was dropped. Soft features broke through the hardened mask. He would protect her from those dangerous looks. He would shield her from the tainted dialogues of others. He did not need to make his brain do the thinking. He already knew what he was going to say. He would destroy the world for her. Slowly, the kalak extended his mug out daringly, a bold move on his part. It was an offer. An oh-so-gracious offer that came from the beast within the walls of iron. He did not need to make his brain do the thinking. He already knew what he was going to say. "Aye, that would be me." Now all she had to do was accept it. Close the distance between his crown and hers. Touch him.

A raw heart, once thawed, is one of the most helpless things on this earth. It cannot fight, it cannot scream. It can only beat. One....two three. One... two three. One....
