He heard the wildly enthusiastic call and responded with his own happy howl as he tilted his head up to the skies, and the short song would of told Weylin of Ajax's happiness that he had returned to the throne. He had tried so very hard to understand why Weylin had given it up to begin with. Honor and duty were something strange and foreign to him, and yet, he respected the Diamond King well enough. He moved as quickly as he could, a jagged and awkward gait that he had found that he could do without tripping all over his front legs. As he comes towards the group he realizes that he was probably on of the last ones to join the welcoming party. His ears go back as he nears them, slowing to a walk with the customary limp. His tail was low between his legs, but wagging and his eyes bright. Weylin was back, he was walking and though his scent brought the smell of blood, Ajax did not see him in any true mortal danger as of yet.
Perhaps it was because he was such a younger healer. But in the breath of winter, he thought the stinging of the sea would best clean out Weylin's wounds. Still, he approaches in his awkward gait, and submits himself to Weylin in the customary way. "I am glad that it is you that came back." His voice quietens, before he decides just to push forward. "Perhaps a short swim in the salt water will help those wounds as well." He did not mean to step on anyone else's toes. It was his own research that suggested such a remedy. He stepped back, and decided to settle himself next to Selene. Though they had never properly spoken, Ajax felt comfortable in the young Queen's presence while those that he had not met seemed so foreign to him. He wondered quietly where Pan was. The older brother was almost never late, but a small smile appears on his face as he ponders just what kind of experiment he had been involved in that kept him from Weylin's side.
When he realizes the smile had made it to his face, he suddenly feels awkward and embarrassed, yet it will not disappear. Today was a joy to rejoice! The throne belonged once more to the Pirate King. They should be dancing and laughing. Ajax suddenly found it difficult to sit still, even in the face of those he did not know. He shifted his weight, but managed to remain still save for the soft thump of a happy tail that could not be contained.
