News - SUMMER

Summer has arrived. The world has been well at peace, and others seem to be trying to take advantage. They believe we are lazy and complacent. We are no such thing. Remain vigilante, friends and family.

Give your congratulations to Maiko. She has been promoted to Blizzard; she earned it.

We also have an activity check going. Please reply so I can make adjustments accordingly. Check will go for an entire month so we can hopefully capture everyone.

As always, if you have need of me, do not hesitate to find me.

Pan has truly begun to wonder at the usefulness of snow. He understands of course, it’s place within the world, it’s need within the seasons and the amount of water it will produce come the spring. He understands it’s place in the circle that is life and existence and yet in this particular moment he is having difficulty placing it with such useful need upon his pelt. He shakes himself again, slips of ice and falling flakes tossed to the side as the outrageous gold of his hair is tossed in every direction, lashings of thick blonde fur grown long for the season falling back into haphazard place about his body, framing the obsidian black of his gaze as he peered forward. He increased his pace, short limbs perhaps having to work harder than those around him, save for perhaps Ajax whose limping form would struggle regardless. Yet the young golden male had already discovered the value of his increasingly muscular frame and powerful chest, ploughing through the snow with relative ease to make his way to Weylin’s side, his deemed place in this life. After all, Pan needs purpose and with Weylin, he has it. He needs to be useful, needs to be kept busy and so he is perhaps thankful for this mission, his mind enraptured with the happenings of late and very near swollen to breaking with a variety of issues he wishes to discuss. The change of leadership within Iromar had seemed to bring about a chain of events that had plunged the relative peace within Moladion into a state of near war. Diveen was rapidly said to be losing patience with the wolves of the mist, Spirane had declared support for the Angels in all things and Glorall, his own pack, so blissful free of all such matters had also been wronged by the wolves of Iromar and indeed, so it would seem, the wolves of Diveen.

Pan cannot claim to fully understand his Brother in this matter. Pan’s mind is one of extreme logic and reason, he possess an ability quite unlike any other to understand the fractions of this world and yet he cannot claim to possess an in-depth knowledge of the working of the minds of others. He understands the wrong committed within Diveen. The slaying of an Imprint is a crime against all wolf-kind and indeed, though he has never witnessed the result of an imprint break he is given to believe it may often lead to madness, a darkness uncontained. Imprints themselves, fascinate the boy of copper and gold, he finds the matter so far beyond all science that he is both repelled and obsessed by it, yet the matter still remains either way. A broken imprint bond affects all, or at least, this is what Pan’s studies on such matters have lead the young male to hypothesize. For Weylin to believe that Diveen may very well allow such a crime to go unpunished is difficult for Pan to fathom. He understands his brothers anger, Finley, after all, was brother to Pan too and his loss is a difficult thing, even for one such as Pan himself who has lost thirteen siblings. Perhaps that is why he does not boil with rage as Weylin does, why he is not so quick to offer blame. Pan is used to loss. It happens, again and again it happens and in a way he has become hard to it, clinging only to those he can summon the strength to deeply, deeply care for, keeping others at bay with his clever mind. Seven and Weylin are all he truly has left, though Ever has begun to work her way into his capacity for emotional care. All others he is capable of losing and accepted. It is the way the boy has become.

He distances himself from emotional affairs, claiming them to be unscientific, throws his mind fully into other pursuits and in this way, Pan is kept safe. Yet, through this method he is also limited, his ability to perceive the depth of Weylin’s hurt, this blood for blood understanding is one he cannot truly grasp. A wrong was done, a wrong against the wolves of Diveen and Pan believes this is a matter Glorall should not involve itself in, at least, not in the manner Weylin seems determined. Vengeance is one thing, blame is another. Diveen is not to blame for Finley’s death. Iromar is and Pan feels his brother is misdirected in some ways, yet not all. Perhaps Diveen should have acted sooner, swifter and firmer against the criminal in question and yet, Pan knows little of the internal affairs of other packs. Diveen is taking it’s time to act, another point of discontent for the golden boy, they should not have taken so long and yet he is given to wonder at the emotional state of an Alphess now broken. Was she truly capable of leading now? Had she fallen as Ruvindra of Iromar? Did they not retaliate because they were incapable? Were they lazy? Did they not care? In this way Pan sees Weylin’s anger, yet objective as he is he refuses to believe there are not other reasons. Diveen is a large and powerful pack. If it waits to act, Pan feels there is reason and truly that he might well be privy to such conversation is delightful.

He caught his brothers gaze in that moment, returning the nod. After all, despite his own thoughts, neutral in this matter as they are, in the end, he stands at Weylin’s side in all things. Always. The silent command to move towards Selene is headed in time, the boy moving to pull back and seek a place beside the young female he had come to enjoy, yet not before he sought time to speak, words low and smooth, his voice no longer boyish as he pressed with comfort into his black brothers side.

“Remember Weylin, Iromar is to blame for Finley’s death, more specifically, one wolf within it, not even the entire pack. Not Diveen. Diveen did not kill Finley and our brothers choices were his own, until the end, they were his own, brother. You must be open, we are all angry, but anger will not get us anywhere. I am told the Angels are very prideful, remember that, let it blind them- not you, please.”

Isola, Queen of Diveen had chosen another over her soul-mate, a matter that had caused great tension within Weylin. Truly, Pan had spoken of it little with his older sibling, these beliefs, these laws of lands Pan does not understand mean little to him, so he does not involve himself and yet, perhaps Isola was to blame for the sadness with Finley, for having taken from him that spark of life he had lost and yet...Finley chose to stay. Mates are chosen over imprints often and yet, Pan cannot experience this to any knowledge his own. He has no imprint. Perhaps, though not directly, Diveen, more so, Isola, had killed Finley long before Jaidah ever did. He moved then, angling himself to place himself beside Selene, waiting at the border line until the Queen herself emerged, as blindingly white as the snow itself, Pan’s own black gaze widening in surprise. The rumours indeed were true. Angels were beautiful. And pregnant, very pregnant. Well, at least the matter of why they waited is now clear to Pan’s mind, his own lips parting to speak, a myriad of questions within his mind before he managed to silence himself (with great difficulty). Weylin could speak first, Weylin could choose how to answer her words for it seemed perhaps, that both desired much the same thing. Even so, Pan was prepared for whatever may come, ears pricked forward, mind ready.
