During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

The Way of the Warrior

The brute slitted his orbs at the princess’ words, knowing that she was dancing around the truth. At the river. You know where the river is right? Where all the mushy gushy gather? I swam across it! The pup had grinned then, and Aindreas thought about her words. He had occasionally heard of the river, and had crossed it a few times for hunting purposes, but he had never taken note of the lupines that he passed in his travels. Thinking back he realized that he had usually seen the lupines in groups of two. As in couples. Aindreas rolled his eyes briefly at the thought, but refocused on Kobato. I learned from the geese silly! They waddle like they’ve got something on their chests. But they’re smart things! They paddle paddle paddle! The fae was twirling now, and Aindreas was surprised when she did not fall down from all of the spinning.

When the fae’s next set of words came out, the brute froze. They ended with Protect him since I’m too small to do so myself kay? Though he knew that Serris had not really adopted Kobato so much as she just hung around, it had never occurred to Aindreas that the fae might… no, surely she would not leave Serris. Would she?

Kobato selected the game ‘hide and go seek’, so Aindreas shut his orbs. It was alright, surely it was alright. Kobato was back to her normal playful self. And so it was that Aindreas shut his eyes, and listened to her footfalls growing silent as the fae ran to hide. When counting was over, the brute lowered his nares to the ground to follow the femmes scent. A feeling of foreboding entered into his soul as he realized that the path lay straight and true to the boundary, and he lost her scent as he came upon a stream. The brute let loose an uncharacteristic whine as he crossed the river himself and tried to pick up the scent upon the other side, but he could not find where she had exited. Returning more toward the center of the pack, Aindreas lifted his maw to the sky and let loose a howl, calling for his alpha. This news could not wait. Kobato was gone.
