The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

Zev stood there thinking about his journey from Bright Moon. It was now his pack, his homeland. The plains were wonderful, rabbits and hares running here and there, ready to be eaten by the chance of a swift chase. It was so glorious. He had recently been there and made friends with two of the wolves inhabited there. One was new to the terrain like himself, named Blaze, and another that was there before Tamlin was alpha. Zev had come to Blossom Forest and only knew Tamlin as the alpha of Bright Moon before he even considered joining. Well then, she must have been in the pack for many years. It was a wonderful pack, though he didn’t think he had any close friends within it.

The big brute stood watching the fae in front of him, darkness surrounding the cavern like it always did. It was quite black, and the brute could understand how and why the female didn’t see him and bumped into him. It was very easy to believe, but what he didn’t understand was that why did this fae rhyme when she spoke? When she first bumped into his body, he assumed by the way she didn’t talk that much that he was just fairly shy, but when she spoke, she spoke in rhyme. Interesting. He nodded slightly, responding to what she first said. It could just be by chance that the words she chose were in unison and had a rhyme theme. Yes, that was probable. He wouldn’t think it as being weird, but in an interesting way. Yes, quite interesting. The sat his rear on the ground, legs aching from standing for a matter of minutes. His banner swished over his back paws, and listened to what she had to say. He could barely tell by the light that her pelt was a creamy color with streaks of a darker black along her back, but that was quite it. His ears flickered when she spoke.

Lead on, show me the way

Waste no time, do not delay

Join you is what I plan to do

And hopefully we shall find a way through.

So there was the answer; she rhymed all the time. Rhyming twice in a row was not a coincidence, therefore it had to be intentional or force of habit. Either way, he accepted this unique trait of hers and rose from his seat to his normal height. Oh, sometimes he really did get tired of towering over others. Perhaps he would need to find someone his size. Anyway, he forced a smile upon his maw, though he was almost sure the female couldn’t see any of it. Her lyrics rang throughout the cavern, and the brute only answered with a nod. “Then, my dear, why don’t we find this staircase? However, I must warn you, some of the ceilings are very low, and you may have to follow in single file as we go forward into the cavern.” He turned his head and looked forward into the darkness, trying to see which direction he was going to go. It was straight forward from here with a few turns, correct? He dearly hoped he remembered.

His paws touched the ground as he walked forward, leaving footprints in the mud that remained from the dripping water inside the cavern. He kept his banner low, the tip of it touching the ground. His towers flickered and he continued on, the scent of the fae still behind him. The ceilings got lower, just as he had said, and the trail inside the cave became very narrow, the sides of the walls of the cave sliding down to take up all of the space. Zev had to duck his head almost the whole time, given the reason he was bigger than an average brute; the tips of his auds even touched the ceiling. Soon enough, the pathway got bigger and it opened up to a massive inner cavern. Was this place it? He did remember it being rather spacy... “I am going to look along the outer edge of this cavern, and you can also do the same if it suits your fancy.” He continued to walk on the outer edge, looking for the staircase he so badly wanted to explore.
