Nose twitching fast as she looked for her daddy as he told her to a few minutes ago. She had been training with her daddy. She found it fun and loved her daddy very much, as well as her mommy. She grew quite fast and now, she was already training with her daddy. She liked to track him down and then play with him.
It had been hard at first, for at this time in the end of the afternoon the wind blew crazy in many directions, messing up scents and her daddy messed with a few tracks and it didn’t help at all. But she didn’t give up, she wanted to find her daddy. She walked and looked for tracks on the ground, on the small grass, the leaves, the dirt… Every single detail was important. That’s what daddy taught her and she followed it. It took her a few minutes and a bit of walk through the forest. She climbed small inclined hills and then climbed down and avoided a fallen log. She stopped a few times as she found new scents, but then she continued. The trees stopped her from seeing too much ahead, they were close to each other. The rough soil of this forest didn’t keep scents for too long and this place was so big for her. But she didn’t give up, daddy said that we should never give up. That’s what she did and she kept going, looking for her daddy. Vague knew this place to be safe from anyone. Very few wolves came here for the lack of food and water. There is only forest here, no streams, no food. So it was rare for any wolf to come here.
But after just a few minutes, she was guided to a small abandoned den between two trees and there she found her daddy laying on his belly, at his paws there was her favorite food! A big owl. Vague knew how much she loved owl meat and hunted the bird before she arrived. She ran to her dad with her tail wagging happily, Vague smiled, proud of his little daughter. Vague’s tail started wagging the moment he saw her.
- Great, Ska! That’s great! You got it!
Before attacking the bird, she jumped on her daddy’s back and bit his ear, she would always do that with her mommy and daddy. It was her way to tell them that she loved them so much. She loved to track her daddy, he always had something when she found him and he would always play with her too. She loved to bite her daddy’s left ear, her way to show him that she loves him. His left ear was always a bit brighter now, from having his daughter bite it. He chuckled as she landed on his back and bit his ear once again.
- Ha… That’s my girl! Go… You can eat the owl now!
She let go of her daddy’s ear and with a smile, she leapt off his back and went to eat the owl. As always she started from it’s chest, where Vague had already left ready, with no feathers. She looked up at her daddy and smiled widely, laying beside him.
- Thank you daddy!
He smiled back at her. Vague knew his daughter very well and knew how she liked to start by the owl’s chest and how she found it annoying having to take the feathers from there. He waited for her to finish her deserved meal. “She is nearly ready” he thought to himself. She wanted to be like him and become a warrior herself. But Vague didn’t teach only how to fight. He would teach the old culture and in the old style. A warrior would not only fight… He would be taught how to fight, to track, to heal and to survive on his own. That was a tough training, but he wouldn’t be harsh with Ska and he wouldn’t start teaching her how to fight until she grew up enough.
