The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

Mezic was waiting at the border of the unknown pack lands after letting out a bark to alert anyone nearby that he was there. He had no idea what to expect after calling out to a pack. He got tired and restless from waiting so he began pacing around the border, bringing his muzzle to the ground allowing the scent of the pack to enter his nostrils. Suddenly a howl reached the young wolfs auds as he was exploring the border. Mezic pulled his head up and perked his large black tipped ears towards the sound, tilting his head to listen to the other wolf’s sound. The howl seemed to call out to wolves to come and join the wolf. Mezic decided to follow the sound of the wolf and leapt past the border into the unknown territory.

Large pine trees surrounded the young teen as he wandered through the forest, searching for the wolf he had heard call out. It had been a few moons since Mezic had been around other wolves and he was excited to meet someone new. He hoped that this wolf would be kind to him like his family, not realizing the dangers that other wolves could present. Mezic had left his family and pack much too young and did not experience enough time in the pack to see the true dynamics of a pack and the responsibility that alphas and other members had and that it was not all fun and games as life had seemed as a pup. Mezic was still not much older than a pup himself and he needed to learn how to act and behave in a pack. Mezic headed throughout the territory with no fear of running into another wolf and being reprimanded for wandering in a pack’s territory that he did not belong to.

As the russet wolf walked through the trees he became distracted often by new scents and sounds. Mezic was an adventurous but very curious teen and easily deterred from what his goal was, finding this new wolf. As he was exploring, the scent of a wolf became stronger and Mezic followed the scent, hoping this was the wolf that had let the call out not too long ago. Now that he had a scent to follow Mezic picked up the pace and began swiftly running through the large trees that grew plentifully throughout the territory. The trees thinned out to reveal a clearing to the young wolf as he slowed to a trot.

Entering the clearing boldly Mezic saw two wolves, both with a crimson coloring to them. One was a male and had the scent on him of the wolf he had been tracking to this spot in the forest and the other a female. The ivory and crimson female was standing nearby the male and Mezic wondered if she had come in response to his howl as well. Mezic sat down and pulled his thick lightly colored plume around his paws, wondering if he should introduce himself or let the two other wolves address him first. He hoped they would know he was here because he had heard the cry of the male wolf and that they would tell him what the call was for.
