The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

Water poured into Zev’s mouth, forcing him to cough and try to get rid of the water that entered his lungs. In mid-cough, another wave of water surged over his face, sending him underwater in the current. He resurfaced, struggling for air and coughing up the water in his lungs. The titian blinked, water washing out of his eyes. Treading water was beginning to get harder and harder, and Zev found himself losing strength. He looked at Athene, also struggling in the water, and kicked his legs harder. Inhaling deeply, he looked around and saw that the water was moving at its own pace in a different direction. Then, something touched his leg. He tried not to squirm. At first, he thought it was nothing, but then something else touched his leg, and he began to kick at it. He dove underneath the water, trying to see what this creature was. Peered through the liquid, he saw figures swimming in a fish-like fashion. As they got closer, he realized that they were in fact fish, and bigger than any he had ever seen and ever wanted to see. Zev broke the surface once again, yelling to Athene to get to the hole in the wall that she had fallen through what seemed like millenium ago.

His icy gaze peered over to the wall, that was still a distance above the water where he couldn’t even reach it if he jumped on solid ground. He growled to himself, still looking around to see if any fish tried to attack him. Zev looked up again and found that Athene was trying to climb up the walls. He looked to his side of the cavern, realizing that the walls did not hold anything to grab onto. He started to swim to Athene, only getting to the middle when the water started to churn. Pain split up his leg, focusing his eyes on nothing. Shear pain engulfed his body, and he felt his foot being torn apart. He held back a scream before disappearing under the water to try and fight it off. He opened his eyes around the water, finding a giant fish locked onto his foot. He snarled underwater, trying not to breathe in any liquid. He bit down onto its face, teeth entering a soggy, oily flesh he found unpleasant. He felt his ivories dig into the creatures front part of its body, one finding its left eye.

He used his other leg to slash at the fish’s sides, and the fish let go, swimming down to the bottom of the cavern. Through the water, he could see his blood fogging from the flesh wound the fish created. His lungs screamed for air as he broke the surface, the water now pooling to create a whirlpool. Zev’s eyes full of pain, he struggled to find Athene. He found the creamy white ess spinning with the current. He swam to her, grabbing onto her scruff. “Hold onto me.” He closed his eyes tightly, blood turning the water red. The pool spun him around, and he held onto Athene with the rest of his strength. He would not let go. He would not let go.
