aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

A little smile diffused across her maw as she listened to the eager lyrics of the female, ‘I do love swimming, but I haven’t swum in a long while either. The last time I swam was at Leisure Lake, with a teen named Aurora. She… well she took me by surprise. Could you believe that she swam underwater for lengthened periods of time? It was not anything I had seen a wolf do before.’ Leila’s eyes widened in amazement although they possessed the haziness of suspicion – what a thought that was… “That is a questionable thought, I can’t stand being underneath water for too long – it goes up my nose. Only time I go below the surface is for when I dive for fish though I don't usually stay down below for a long period of time. I give up too quickly.” She said; her words subdued in a soft, almost lilting tone. A world beneath the ground, what stories did it possess – who owned the areas down in the deep blue? Ah but Leila was a land animal, repelled from the water land and if she ever tried, her body would ache with a painful lust for oxygen.

Her passive thoughts were faltered by an eruption of splashes, little specks of liquid diffusing into the ground. Leila’s fiery mango eyes crossed to the romping form of Hellene engulfed in the azure water. She met Hellene’s eyes and grinned broadly. Her own façade rose and moved delicately towards the water, leaving only small indentations into the soft silt. The tempest was soon consumed by the sapphire liquid, sending a shiver small and minor up her spine. The maiden grumbled softly in contentment, allowing the liquid to seep into her fur, even into the inner depths of her hide where a soft tingle spread across her skin. A soft laugh danced into the air, ringing into the ears of listeners close by. Leila closed her eyes for three seconds before resting her gaze upon the Hellene.

Her paw fell against the surface of the water, sending up dots of water that were intended to land upon the hide of Hellene. Ripples spiralled in the water with the disruption. It wouldn’t have made much difference but it was an amusing thing to do to pass time. Her back pillars kicked back rhythmically to keep above the surface, tail swaying against the current, rebellious against the water that attempted to prevent its waver.
