Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

so angels could cry...

Ever since the day she'd arrived within Spirane she had been watched. Members taking special care to make sure that she stayed within the pack boundries, she doesn't remember her real mother except that she was white like Ceal. Moonglow had found her in the rocky craigs of Spirane, crying out, starving and on her last leg. Moonglow had nursed her back to health, created the bright eye'd girl that stood at the edge of the crater's eastern quadrant. It wasn't the first time she'd come to this place, but due to her seclusion within the pack she hadn't had much time as of late to come here. She was yet to reach her full height potential, but even then she wouldn't be a very big girl, she wouldn't retreive the bulk that some of her siblings had, she definitely wouldn't have the height. Stunted as she was, she made up for it in her personality. You see, Ceal's mother had left her in Spirane in hopes that she would die. The russet marking that floats across her muzzle and leads the tell tail signs of the angels all the way down to the tip of her tail. This, is the sole reason for Ceal's supposedly being locked away within the rocky towers of Spirane. If anyone where to think her Angel they would either kill her on sight or send her off to Diveen to learn from them. But she simply couldn't be an angel. Her mother had left her, Angels wouldn't do that would they?

She had two long, and boreing years to think about all of this. Would a mother, who had a child marked by the Angels, leave her young just for the purpose that she thought it would save the rest of her unmarked children? Rose hip eyes take in the crater as she arrives, it's vastness encompasses her, enfolds her mind and makes her take a deep, long... sigh... of relief? Perhaps. Spirane could be stuffy at times. She enjoyed the free time she had now, as she grew older she found herself wanting it more and more, to be away from the pack life, to be free... but she was royalty, she had her jobs to do. Shallowbane would be leaving soon enough for their small hunting party, she was excited about this for she'd never been out hunting yet. I know right! just bizzar! But with momma Moonie gone so often and pappa Alcide so busy with leading the pack, it was getting harder and harder to find someone who would just sit down and listen. This, she knew she would find when she came to the crater.

Taking another deep breath she rushed head long down the side of the crater, her frame was tiny, her legs short but her weight was a perfect balance for it all making her light on her already small feet. Like a deer she bounded through the brush, ears perked and nose to the wind to catch that familiar scent she'd grown fond of. She had heard rumors. Whispers of war on the misty island near Diveen. She had heard in short, from a passing fellow, that Diveen and Iromar were going to war. How true this could be she did not know, but she knew that if anyone would know, it would be he. Meryl. They had met one night, darkness sweeping over the eastern crater. It had been her first time out of Spirane and though she had been scared numerous times, she felt like a safety net was under her when ever she was near him. It was like no other feeling in the world. And yet, yet she knew that there was something different about him. Something interesting. Something more. They had met a few more times, but with each outting she went on, she knew that she would come just that much closer to getting caught by someone else.

She slowed as she got further into the crater, her legs shake with (what she seems to think is audible clacking) the exhaustion of her run, she felt alive, laughter ringing through the air as she kept her pace to a trot. She knew enough about her body that she knew to keep her self moving after such an exhertion, to keep the muscles warmed up, the blood flowing until she could cool herself down. Winter was on the fore front of everyone's minds, Ceal didn't know if Spirane actually had any healers but she could probably learn a few things from Meryl right? she picked up his scent not to far to the bottom, her nose making quick work of the direction he was in and soon she was off again. Loping through the underbrush, she fit perfectly under most bushes, she spots him heading towards what she thought as just mer plants.

"Meryl!" she called out when she saw him, she eased herself into a walk till she stood next to him, she could feel the emotions crackle off his body it felt like electricity arcing off his body, it must be this business with the war... she tips her nose under his chin those baby pink eyes of her's look into his own eyes. "I missed you," she said in her buttery sweet voice for it had been a while since the two had last met and she didn't know how long she would have before someone would come looking for her, it was different being in the crater in the day light hours.

"talks like this"
