Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Return to Lunar Children

I'm beginning to feel like a Dungeon Dragon

She didn't even stir as he neared, a slight breeze twining in her fur and waltzing with the ink pot strands. If it was someone else, she'd probably wake up the moment she felt their presence. Not him. No, she continued to slumber on, and later she'd blame it on the thickness if the fog and salt, the waves' drowning out approaching footsteps. Even in these conditions, she should've been able to sense him. She'd trained herself from puphood practically to wake up at the slightest thing out of the ordinary. If she was sleeping in free lands as she was now, she'd wake up at the merest hint of another, wolf or other. Why wasn't she waking up now when surely this creature was worse -or at least appeared to be- than any she'd met before. If she was awake she would loathe his ability to sneak up on her and get so close. She was a friendly wolf, but she didn't like strangers getting that close to her. His bark shattered her dreamless sleep, and before she was even fully aware she was jumping to her feet, whirling to face him with a snarl in her mouth and her teeth out, ignoring her wounds' protests. She prided herself on her reflexes and their quickness. She could be ready to fight at a moment's notice as she'd just demonstrated. She fixed him with an unamused glare; she didn't like being woken up in such a manner, especially since he was close enough to feel his breath at her ear. Her gaze fired azure, akin to blue flames. They stood out starkly against her obsidian coat, like twin lanterns in a storm. Fur bristled and hackles raised without conscious direction from her, even though the brute before here was simply chewing on plants.

Her eyes, keen and sharp, took in his appearance. The immense frame, the darker hue of his coat, and, oddly, his eyes. She had found his eyes and held them since her rather rude awakening, and was truly intrigued by them. They were lavender, from where she stood. Lavender. Maybe with a hint of red around the pupils, but lavender was lavender and his irises were certainly lavender. She liked that, it made a very beautiful combo; blackest fur and twilight hued eyes. She took in the red points in his fur, the scars and yes, even the tiny bits of blood still clinging to his muzzle. Maybe it was the fact that she just woke up from a deep sleep, maybe she was just stupid in this way, but she still didn't feel fear. No, quite the opposite actually. She felt curiosity. She wanted to know who this huge male was, and more importantly, why the hell he woke her up!

"A bark is a rather rude way to wake someone up, yes?" She asked with a wry twist if her lips, pike forgotten in lieu of her interest. She let the curiosity show through her eyes, one of the emotions she allowed others to see. She sat back on her haunches then, cocking her head as she waited for his reply earnestly. This male, whoever he was, interested her.
