Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

Are you certain? The question is accompanied by a quirked brow, his gaze seeming to shimmer as she watched him. It could have been a trick of the lighting, or an illusion that her waxing mind had conjured. Yet the bizarre colours remain gazing down upon her. Introducing himself as Heart, he then asked who she was. This brought the Demon to tilt her skull ever so slightly to the left, her own deep navy gaze clearing at the gesture. Shifting momentarily to find a more comfortable position before nodding her head once to his initial inquiry. Her words were accompanying the gesture at the same moment. Quite certain. And though it was brief, she gave him a very small smile for his concern. It was something normally completely uncharacteristic of the female, but she wasn't quite herself. At least, not yet.

I'm Vera. She willingly gave her name, b ut nothing more. None of where she comes from, or what she actually is. This Heart, who looked a Demon, was not irritating or pesky or even annoying to her. Part of her mind which continued to remain muddled considered and appraised him. He could potentially have a spot within her collection if she continued to see things she liked. But then again that was a very small portion of her mind that led her to believe so. As much as it would have bothered her with most other wolves, save for perhaps Ishtar and Andras, Vera did not mind the fact that she had to look up at him. She simply did not have the energy to do something about it, but even then- she did not think she would mind all too much beside. Bt it was all changed when she watched him lay down beside her, bringing him down to her eye level. Demons were well versed int he act of masking emotion. Today the black wolf was the exception.

Surprise and curiosity are plain as day across her dark features. Her shoulders had tensed up as had most of her muscles. This brought a grimace to her features the moment it happened- the sore and aching muscles and flesh screaming their protest through her nerves. She might have whimpered, might have, if she'd been alone. But she was not. And she refused to show such weakness around any other. But when no attack came, she slowly relaxed, exhaling heavily as she did. Watching him without a word, she considers him before tilting her jaw to the right this time. Curiosity is strong within Vera's current state of mind. Perhaps as a distraction for herself, or some fourm of adverse affect by her injuries. You seem so.. relaxed. It wasn't really a question, but just more so a simple statement. With having been lying down for awhile at this point, Vera could feel herself slowly coming back from whatever it was she had been experiencing before. The blood loss drained the strength from her limbs and mind, but with the rest she was getting it was slowly coming back to her.

Where do you come from? And with her returning energy came a curiosity she simply could not seem to satisfy. It was against Demon nature to be so friendly to another, but in a time of crisis, Heart had not taken advantage of her and killed her, or worse. And to Vera, that automatically earned him some respect. After all- as blood thirsty and destructive as her and her kin are, there is always respect and loyalty and honour involved. Always.
