It was not difficult to deduce that the girl before him was different than so many others - for a moment, he considered that it would have been best for Caligula to deal with her. Alas, it had become his duty and even in her silence, he finds himself understanding her more than he would have anyway. Her scent was thick with the aroma of the sea and the shrubbery, she was certainly no wayward drifter that had simply come across Glorall. Her demeanor was not stand offish but there was something peculiar about it - insecurity, perhaps? Uncertainty? Such things couldn't be blamed on her. Tesseract was by no means the first Alpha of the territory. The nature of Glorall's most unstable ruler-ship were by no means exaggerated - some said it was cursed. Tesseract had chuckled over that in the past, laughing for it was him that was cursed to never succeed and yet, he had overcome that. Glorall would overcome its curse too, he was positive of it.
She responded then and he watched her through narrowed eyes, his ears flickering forward. A wolf of few words, it seemed and yet, her body spoke for her almost perfectly. For some moments, he simply remained steadfast, meandering over her words before he finally stepped forward, tall and proud once more.
"I am sorry for the past of Glorall, for the Alphas that have failed to uphold their duties. Perhaps you have heard such things before but I have no intentions on falling as they have."
He dipped his head low, a silent confirmation of his apparent promise before his eyes sought out her own. He moved with fluid grace, a cool self assurance that practically radiated from him. He and Salem, at least in his mind, seemed to be polar opposites - he was a wolf of many words, of many thoughts. Her silence, her reluctance, he found it strange but certainly not something too difficult for him to break through. Or so he hoped at least. It was by no means his intention to lose a potential pack mate over the failures of alphas long gone.
"Do you have a name? I would like to be able to address you without being so rude. As for me, I am Tesseract."
He smiled, a small smile but it was there nonetheless. He would be undeterred by her silence, too adamant on ensuring that those he had intruded upon took to him well. With that, he rocked back onto his haunches, his tail curling over his paws. He watched her levelly, head slowly tilted from one side to the next before he spoke once more, his voice quiet and simply between the two of them.
"I would like to sit with you if you did not mind. I would like to hear what it is that is on your mind."
And it was true - silence often meant a busy mind for many, and Tesseract so enjoyed a busy mind.
