Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Jagged did know what inhabited the shells; small, odd creatures. They reminded her of insects and had the variety of the family as well. The only reason she knew this was that she had often used beaches as temporary homes. Because of this, she had learned much about the sea and its creatures. At this moment though, she hadn't seen any creatures as of yet. Probably because of the storm, Jag mused. Hunkering down somewhere or trying to get to calm waters before it hit.

She smelled him before she saw him, his scent managing to get caught by the wind and pushed towards her. Despite the salt water in her eyes she got a decent look at him, huge but not quite as big as some she'd already met. Yes, she outweighed him, lithe muscles packed on her frame instead of fat though she still looked slender. She liked having the weight on her. It was good to throw around and get momentum, but still light enough to be fast and agile.

She was already out of the water by the time he talked to Chickadee, seeming familiar with her. If he chose to attack her she wouldn't stand a chance. Jagger was smaller than him by a good deal, Chicky was downright tiny. He didn't display any aggressive body language so she kept her gait relaxed. See? Already falling into the role of bodyguard. She wagged her tail and smiled in greeting. She kept her tail lower than his, letting the alpha have his dominance though her tail was only a notch or two lower. She was not of his pack yet and didn't submit to random wolves, leaders or not. So for the time being she only recognized his rank but didn't bow. When he'd earned her respect and shown himself to be a good leader, worthy of being followed, then she would bow.

"What can I say?" She chuckled, shaking herself and sending water flying. "I love the sea and the storms." Her eyes cut to Chicky, gauging her reaction to the male.
