Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Return to Lunar Children

I fell in love with a shooting star

He watched as she sat back up, shaking the white snow off of her fur with ease. Starfall had white speckles upon his forehead that he could never shake off, his star mark from his mother Andromeda. These same white speckles came across his chest like a long necklace. He was actually a rather beautiful boy, and luckily for Starfall, his father Azrael gave him some rather dashing masculine facial features. However, a bit of snow did fleck across his whole frame, giving a look that he was more speckled than he really was.

He had not noticed that she was about to speak when I spoke. Although an observant boy, he didn't speak to many in this particular world often. The beings in reality thought he was lying a lot, saying things didn't happen when Starfall knew they did. Or at least, he thought they did. It was hard to tell delusion from reality when they are so real and vivid. He was simply happy in this moment to find someone else who the birds laugh at. He felt a little less alone, a little less left in the dark in a lonely abyss. For in truth, the boy felt more lonely with each coming seasons, as things become more solidified that there really is no one like him.

She was a girl that looked so different than he and his family. Diveen did not hold that many brown red colored wolves. Diveen was full of black and white. Starfall was rather pleased to meet someone that looked different from what he usually saw. It was refreshing, and he must admit that that her face is...cute? Does he think she is cute? Starfall never really thought about girls before. It never really dawned on him until the girl made this intoxicating noise that made her star-touched charcoal ears perk up, with a touch of tilt to his unkept head. He had heard his little sisters make a similar noise, but it was...different coming from the girl before him. He didn't understand, and it really didn't matter. It simply made his tail wag slightly in the snow behind him.

In fact such a thing is infectious, and Starfall made a little grin that was touched with the sound of a soft, held in laugh of sorts. Wait, what was he laughing about? He quickly stopped as the girl before him lifted her paw over her muzzle. He blinked curiously, a look of wonder on his face as he tries to figure out what she was exactly doing. Starfall looked at his own black paw for a moment, before turning his opal eyes back to Chickadee.

Starfall was completely unaware of any humiliation that Chickadee could be feeling. Having not met many females outside of his own family, she seemed completely fine and normal, and he liked her little giggle. Starfall could only look slightly confused as her face morphed into something akin to defeat. What had he done? He helped scare the birds away, why was she making that face? He leaned his muzzle in a little as he observed her. He was about to say something when she started to speak herself.

As she continued to speak her name, suddenly a smile that seemed bright and full of life smacked across her face. This made Starfall's smile return as he stood on his paws. It was then he realized her name. Chickadee. Well, it was a weird name, really weird, but Starfall didn't mind. The whole world is a weird place, so why should he care? Starfall made a single bound forward, grinning with his tail wagging happily behind him.

"Chickadee. Why are you named Chickadee? My mom named me Starfall because of her friend. Her name was Starshade, and she died from the star that fell from the sky. What about yours?" he asked curiously, standing about foot or so away from the girl his size. He knew not that she wasn't his age, due to his own giant size once he is full grown. They are about the exact same size right now as he looks at her with his hazed over eyes, so brilliant and luminous in the gentle winter light. In the corner of his eye though, he caught sight of what she pulling out of the ground. His head turned to look at it, before looking back at Chickadee puzzled. "What is that for?" he asked, wondering if she was like his older brother Meryl; interested in plants and healing. He didn't know much, but it was just a small relation he could see to help cling him to this reality.
