Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

It wasn't long until Caligula was ready to birth their newest family, that much he could tell. So far it had all gone smoothly and without complaint, something he was more than thankful for. All he could hope for was that the actual birthing process went just as smoothly as the pregnancy had and that his daughters would be eager to help out when needed. Well, he imagined that'd be quite a task but he could hope. Come spring, it also meant it was time that he begin to seek out alliances in order to educate the younger wolves and he, too, would need to take on others to educate. So far, he had laid claims to the boy Sinclair, a boy who had apparently been born in Glorall. As for the boy's mother, she went unaccounted for as far as he was concerned but that was besides the point. Soon, he would have not only his own children to teach but also another. Ah, it seemed spring brought with it endless responsibility and yet he found himself more than happy to take such things on board.

With his agenda well and truly full, he had taken it upon himself to well and truly mark each and every inch of the boarder. It was to deter the bears, cougars and other wolves - not just that, but to ensure the scent remained there even if he could not remark for some time. Besides, it gave him plenty of time to truly enjoy the beauty that Glorall held; spring had brought with it a calmer ocean, strange plants washing ashore and even stranger plants and flowers began to bloom across the shoreline. Chickadee had been tending to the strange growths, slowly working her way through and discovering their properties. He felt somewhat bad for her, having no teacher for her and yet so far she had done a tremendously good job. Maradona would be in good hands and as far as Chickadee's efforts were concerned, they would be repaid soon enough. Jagger, too, had been busy training Viora but it would be Tesseract's turn soon enough. Both Tristan and Octavia would be heading to another pack with him soon enough to better understand pack politics.

He had been busy grinning as a fool to himself as he jogged along the border, tail arched proudly over his rump as he bounced along. It was not until the familiar scent hit him that he had paid attention but how could he not? He still remembered her scent, too, combined with the blood of strangers by her den. He still remembered plucking the squirming Osiris from the den and taking him to Caligula all while he had to track down the deceased Phobia. In one foul swoop, fate had taken his sister and her mate. He remembered it well and he could not stop the coldness that ran through his body as he charged forward to meet her or, perhaps, her ghost.

Then he saw her - pure of white, dusted in fine silver like the moon itself. He could not help but notice the roundness in her abdomen, something that made his eyes narrow as he slowed to a lazy lope, coming to a halt beside the boy. How strange that Sinclair, so young, had come to meet the stranger - it was promising, though, and he brushed pelts with the smaller male momentarily in recognition. It seemed like so long that he simply stared at his sister, unsure as to what to say to her but finally, he had to speak.

"It has been a long time, sister."

It was all he said in that moment, his lips taut as he fell back into silence. He had no doubt in his mind that she would be welcomed among them - she was his sister, Caligula's beloved sister and the final piece in their triad. Internally he was glad that she had returned, glad that she had not been dead as he had anticipated. But nonetheless, he could not help but feel the confusion over her roundness, over the strangeness of her scent.

"Your son is here, as are your nieces."

He spoke almost without expression before he had the time to compose himself, releasing a quiet sigh and shaking his head slowly. It was silly of him to act in such a manner in front of the boy he had taken on to train - no, he had to be strong, not just in body either. Inhaling slowly, he rose to his full height, his head high and tail waving just the thrice over his back.

"You have missed a lot. This is Glorall - home - and this is Sinclair. I am training the boy come this spring. Tell me, where have you been? And where are you going?"

He hoped that she would say here - Glorall - but he could never be too sure with her. The Moon had never been as easily confined as the Sun or Night.
