Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

She watched out from her paws as Chicky went to the arrangement of herbs and plants in front of the den, picking out one and looking on as the sap started to flow. Did her scabs itch? She flexed her muscles and she supposed they did. She had been so caught up in the whole imprint debacle that a little itchiness went unnoticed to the inky girl. Honestly all physical sensations but pain made a barely a dent in her now for reasons already stated before. She couldn't help it. Someone wanted to protect her. Someone followed her over countless lands only to find her when she finally stopped and made a home for herself. She didn't know how to handle it. She thought she was going to have a nervous breakdown the first time she saw him so many emotions crashed into her at once.

She moved her paws with a sigh, raising an eyebrow at Chicky's obvious display of excitement. It really shouldn't be unexpected, Chicky subscribed to fairytale endings and happily ever afters. Jagger...didn't. It wasn't as if she was opposed to them--as long as they happened to someone else. As long as they happened to someone else, she was fine. She fought and kicked and railed against one ever happening to her. She really didn't have a clear understanding as to why; she'd just always done it. She'd fought and kicked and railed like it would be the death of her if she ever let it happen, that how she was would cease to exist. She'd become something else; something weaker Perhaps that was why she detested love so much. She had the idea that if she was in love she'd be somehow weaker than she already was. She didn't know when the idea cemented in her brain, just that it always had been.

The aggravated girl blew out a breath. "Everything is wrong with him." She started, remembering his look of what might be contentment at finding her with a grimace. "He's got an obsession with protecting me, of all things," She began, spitting out the words like it was an evil thing. A thing to be avoided and shunned. She was the protector, didn't he understand? No one protected herself other than her. No one put themselves at risk for her sake if she had any say in it. No one. Especially not some arrogant, delusional male. "He's followed me over I don't know how many lands and he finally found me in less than a month of me stopping." She was staring off into space, not looking at Chicky, eyes locked on the waves but not really seeing. Why? Why why why why? She finally had a life for herself and he had to come ruin it. It did not matter he made her laugh, did not matter that his concern made her insides feel all funny, did not matter that she'd kill anyone who tried to hurt him like he would for her. It. Did. Not. Matter. Not one bit.

"And also the fact that he exists in the first place," She snapped her teeth, angrily huffing. He shouldn't be here, he shouldn't be her imprint. He couldn't be. She didn't have an imprint, no she didn't. She couldn't. What had she done to piss Fate off so much she had to give the brawler an imprint?! She growled quietly, a muscle ticking in her jaw as he rose unbidden into her mind.
