Sin was somehow relieved that the red and black and white pup wasn't hurt despite her attack on him, but because he was more stunned and angry at being wrongly accused, he didn't dwell too much on the relief. Instead he kept reveiwing the attack in his head, and found that he was scolding himself for not simply just moving. If he was going to be a warrior then he had better start reacting faster! He should be able to handle unpredictable situations, and one so simple as this should have been easy to assess in seconds and respond to. Sinclair's lip twitched and he looked away from the female pup to reflect on what he could have done to prevent the entire situation. He probably should have just explained that he could drink just fine and he had been looking at his reflection. That kind of sounded narcissistic though...
At her forceful shout, Sinclair's ears perked forwards in surprise. His foul mood was immediately reversed by her comment and replaced by amusement. Apparently he had misjudged her, but then why freak when she got a bit wet? Sinclair got himself annoyed again and his ears flattened out to the sides. He didn't enjoy unreasonable out bursts - he didn't understand them and they set him off in a bad mood for a couple of hours usually before he forgot about them. Sin glared at her in mild annoyance when she decided to sit herself down. Obviously she wasn't planning on going anywhere. Great... Then maybe he'd leave instead.
He was about to turn away when she got a funny look on her face. He paused and in that time, she was talking again. Why was he bleeding?! Seriously? She had attacked him, what did she expect? That was what fighting caused. He was bewildered by her clueless attitude and he watched, stunned as she marched right up to him. Sinclair muttered to himself incoherently , and he bit his tongue to keep any retort he had in his head. It was a pointless battle since he hadn't been seriously hurt. He could let it go.
However, he next statement cause a defiant snort from Sinclair. Had she not been paying any attention to what he told her?! She was still convince that he had tried to drown her? If he had wanted that, he would have pushed her into the water... It was starting to sound like a good idea.
Well, let her think what she wanted. He was just happy to not have her trying to knock him over. He rolled his eyes at her command, but with his ears flat out to the side and his head low in irritation, he sat down for her as she pressed a paw lightly against him. She sure was a bossy pup. He supposed that was only natural for a princess though. At least she was going to attempt to right her mistake, knowingly or not, so he'd oblige. It was a long moment before Sinclair could think of anything to say to the other, more fiery pup. "So... which princess are you?" Sin asked, hopeful that her somewhat bipolar tendency would allow for the "challenge" to be forgotten in the moments she spent tending the minor scratch on his shoulder. |
