Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

It was with great honor that I strode alongside my queen this day, moving beyond the confines of Diveen and south towards the oceanside pack of Glorall. This was the duty, the right of a rank bestowed upon me in the aftermath of the war, the responsibility of a member of the Queen’s Guard. When she had touched my shoulder in greeting, I was relieved to find that the dull ache that would previously rise from such a touch was all but absent. Silently I offered her a smile and reached forward to touch my own nose to her fur before she turned to lead the way. It was then that I looked to the darker form of the shewolf Fathom, my partner in this duty as a sentinel. A respectful nod was offered to her, this was the first time we had met. Then and there I decided that upon our returned from this trip, when we parted ways with Isola and left her in the more than capable paws of Kane, I would ask her if she cared to walk with me. It was important that we came to know one another well enough that we could predict each other’s moves before they were made, so that we could act as the best defense for Isola if ever the need arose.

Steadily we followed the river, moving ever closer to the point in our shared river border with our neighbor where we could cross and call upon he who led the pack. I did not know much of Glorall, other than its unsteady past under ever changing leadership. Perhaps someone worthy had finally come into power here – if that were not the case I was doubtful we would have embarked on this journey. Aside from my duty to ensure the safety of Isola, I saw this as an opportunity for further educate myself about Moladion and the wolves that inhabited it. In my heart I knew I was meant for great things – even greater than being tasked with the protection of the leader of the most powerful pack in all of Moladion. My hopes for grandeur were not foolishly high – I held no desire to lead. But I would strive to attain a rank suitable of my heritage, a son of the blood of old Moladion, of Trenus, and now of Diveen. So long a I could proudly walk among the wolves of Diveen and perhaps build a family and life for myself within her borders, I would be happy.

Of course such thoughts stirred feelings about Elowen. Even now she rested within Diveen, though she had not had the opportunity to meet the Queen and King just yet. Soon, most certainly, she would feel ready to meet them, and then I would be more than happy to call upon Isola and ask her forgiveness for harboring her within her lands without her knowledge. Although I was given to think she was aware of Elowen’s presence – her scent laid heavy around my den and on my fur – and was waiting for me to properly inform her. All in due time.

As Isola’s gait slowed, so did mine so that I remained in position, flanking her as we approached the borders. Her words grip my attention and I nod, feeling that words were not necessary. She knew that if the need – however unlikely – arose, in line with Fathom I would ward off any danger that presented itself. As she howled towards the skies, calling upon Tesseract, my gaze shifted, looking around us and scanning the tree lines to see if any hazards laid in wait. When I had determined the area to be safe, I pivoted slightly and lowered my hindquarters to the ground, sitting beside and only just slightly behind Isola, placing her in prominence. And then the waiting began, although I was certain it would not be for too long.
