Well, it had certainly been a while since she had set foot here. Three years, if the wolfess recalled correctly, what on earth had pulled her away for so long? She couldn’t even begin to imagine. This river had always been one of Storm’s favourite spots; the first place she had really explored when she arrived on the mountain all those years ago. She supposed that it was wandering around here that had sparked her desire to continue to wander the mountain, and really she wouldn’t change any of it. Now, at seven years of age, that adventurous spirit hadn’t even started to fade.

Five years, it was hard to believe she’d been here that long… where had all of the time gone?

Perhaps it was better to focus on now, rather than wondering where her past years had gone. Today, she was merely going to enjoy her time out with her young dragons. Storm had little doubt that Ash would be grateful to her for taking Alwen and Osmium off his hands. Though Os was his daughter, and the little Welsh Green was absolutely no trouble, he wasn’t exactly the most gifted babysitter, not that this surprised Storm; he’d never really been a fan of things that were… well… small. The second she’d said that she’d take the pair out somewhere, the blue metal/smokey grey mix had disappeared to who-knows-where, and he probably wouldn’t reappear for some time.

Still, he’d been in overdrive while she had been stuck as a spirit, so she supposed he was entitled to a break.

Storm fell back onto her haunches, contented with watching the two dragons play. She had always loved children, of all species, and it was honestly surprising that she hadn't ever had her own… Oh well; it was just one of those things, she supposed.
