Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

My c o l d desire
to hear the boom, boom,
b o o m of your heart

Raising six children was significantly harder than she had thought as a child. She understood why Ruvindra had failed in some respects when it came her, Tesseract and their missing sister. Granted, Caligula believed that she had failed more with their sister. She slept beside the love of her life, her voice, her sun prince and her partner in whatever endeavors that she embarked upon. She had spent much of the winter teaching her children the basics of hunting by having them mimic her movements. To be honest, Maradona and Cersei caught on much quicker than their younger siblings but she recognized the drive in them to excel. She was not sure if she saw that same drive in her younger litter. Yet she did not pass judgement on them quite yet, they were a year younger and had grown up in a pack, whereas Cersei and Maradona were closer to wildlings than pack wolves.

She felt her lover rise early that morning but felt no desire to join him. Instead she curled her tail over her face to block the sun and to sleep in a little longer. She heard him leave the area surrounding the den, it did not take long for the patter of her children to come for whatever lesson she had in mind that particular morning. She moved quietly out of the den, stretching and yawning before she shook the dirt from her coat. The mismatched eyes eyed her children for a moment before she headed towards the river. The borders were already strongly marked, signifying that Tesseract would be elsewhere. She demonstrated how to catch the fish that were moving their way upstream to spawn. They were already half dead and easy to catch if in shallow enough parts of the stream. After she had caught her own breakfast, she half-watched and half-ate before finishing and leaving her children to their own devices.

Instead she trekked back to the den mouth in hopes she would catch up with Tesseract before he got himself wrapped up with pack business. Today, she was feeling lazy and desired only the company of her sun prince. Her soul rejoiced as she moves through the bright green brush to find him scenting the ground. There was the smallest wolfish grin as she trotted towards him with her tail high and wagging softly in the warm spring air. She slid against him, pressing her weight into him in a desperate desire to meld with him. He was her equal, and she had no desire to do anything but be with him that day. She sighed softly, happy to be in his presence without watching eyes.
