Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

goes the clock, we laughed at fate and mourned her, tick tock goes the clock even for the monster

She was quite content laying along the banks of the river ignoring the long grasses tickling her sides as they swayed side to side from the spring wind. Her half-torn right ear would twitch every now and then ignoring the sounds of the crickets chirping finding their sounds annoying yet somewhat relaxing at the same time. Giant ebony paws held either side of the pink fish as she brought her head down, sharp ivories ripped through the side of the fish like a butter knife. Small black nose was deep within the gut of her delicious fishy meal. As she gorged herself on her tasty treat she felt a sudden chill that began to crawl down her sleek form, she could feel a presence nearby. Lifting her head upwards she noticed the sight of the dirty grey female lupine. For the first time since she had arrived in these new lands she didn’t feel threatened as the other approached her. The way she approached signaled that she was not interested in her, in fact she seemed to want to keep to herself, but she noticed the hesitation in her paw-steps as she inched closer. She would tilt her muzzle upwards catching the scent in the air, ignoring the scent of blood that covered her nose. This female smelled of pups and uneasiness. Good. There would be no problems here then, what so ever.

Cold indigo eyes narrowed as the wolfess approached her closer. Her half-torn ear flew backwards in an annoyed manner. She did not respond to the others somewhat cheerful greeting. Only her eyes would follow after the girl, seeing how she changed directions and headed for the shallow end of the bank, snatching up a fish that was about to suffocate from the loss of water. Seeing that the other had a piece of fish she didn’t think it was necessary to speak up and so she returned to her fish. It would be awhile before she would stop eating, there was hardly anything good in the left overs. She would get up slowly bending her front end downwards stretching, enjoying the sensation she felt as her bones popped and rattled in synchronization. Flicking her tail side to side her cool voice slipped out, as she turned her attention to the river bank.

“As long as the fish isn’t startled by the noise...I am sure it will continue to be good.”

Cold eyes narrowed as she slinked closer to the bank watching the salmon flip and flop around, not knowing that danger was all around them. She would hop back on the stones that made the perfect bridge to walk across the river. Lowering her head she would leap to the other rock catching a fish as it jumped, clamping down tightly before leaping back to solid ground. Once again she would return to her old spot and lay down once more stretching herself. Dropping the fish between her paws she would look at the other tilting her head to the side, slightly confused. The female smelled up pups, but she did not carry the stench of belonging to a pack. Why would a loner risk herself for pups?

“You are not in a pack…but you have pups…why?”
