Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

How long had it been since she had even stepped foot into the interior of Diveen? Months? Seasons had passed, that much she knew, but time had begun to give her the slip. Things had just become... frustrating to say the least. Everyone seemed to be doing there own thing rather than trying to come together as a pack, even after the war. Hell, maybe she had been still holding that against them all. Whatever the case, she hadn't exactly felt enthusiastic about seeing any of her pack mates in a long time. The last time she had even considered heading into the main territory was when she had heard that maybe, just maybe, Sleekwing had come to visit once more. Now that was a whole other level of frustration and agitation, but at least it was a comforting one - at least someone other than herself was looking out for her, right? Well, there had always been one other, but even those thoughts had been rather conflicting.

See, Rogue had been been exciting from the moment she had met her - she was an oddity, a refreshing breeze in a world that had otherwise been dominated by egos and attempting to prove one's self. Rogue hadn't been like that; she was raw, a wolf with her own view on the world and her own history separate from all the others. To Malina, she had become a sanctuary of sorts. At the end of the day, Malina wanted to be near her, with her, around her and generally, well, beside her at all other hours of the day. So, what made such a thing so conflicting? Well, there was Sleekwing of course, and the obnoxious way in which he made her want to visit Spirane even when she was too lazy to otherwise move from her den. There was Heyel and all the others, too, who would endlessly berate her for consorting with who they deemed a Demon, and a female at that - but why did she care about them? Azrael and Ava had gone and had children and Heyel had dared betray his mate even when she was alive and weak. They weren't exactly the best role models, were they? Not caring was one thing but what of desertion? They would likely spring into action at the first whiff of it.

Still, she felt the same way regardless of the odds stacked up against her. It was times like this that she wished Letum was around - as useless as he were, he made for good company and had at least been good to vent with. They were alike and they were different, which is probably why she somehow managed to consider him one of her only friends. He'd been gone a long time though, too long to ever envision coming back. It was like that with those she called friends, though - even Cayen had disappeared. The mere thought of them all made her sigh, a heavy sound that seemed to practically shake the dust off of her den. All the talk of disappearing made her fret for Rogue, although it had been Malina who had disappeared and not the red cloaked woman. Hah, she and Letum were more alike than ever.

It had been long enough, and now that she had at least recognised the problem, maybe she could get off her lazy butt and do something about it. Besides, she needed a decent excuse to avoid the pack even more, so why not use a short venture? It was a good excuse. Maybe she'd even go see Sleekwing after her real business was done, at least then she'd have someone to punch up on.

It took her no more than a minute to wake entirely, shaking herself free of dirt and a year's worth of aging. It felt good to move and to feel motivated, rather than simply wanting to wallow about. It didn't take much energy or motivation to move across the river, though, right? She rolled her eyes at her own laziness, half impressed that someone like herself had finally been subdued by what she imagined was a feeling of sad. Rogue would solve it though just like she did every other time.

With a quick check of her surroundings, she was off like a (lazy) bullet, plodding along the borders till she found the shallowest region of the river. It was a rather gentle part of the river, where boulders seemed to come to a rest; easy enough, she figured, and it lead right onto the western borders of Glorall. Apparently Diveen and Glorall had a good standing, so why not risk it, huh? Besides, it's not like she was going in with malicious intent - she was literally bringing peace and friendship. Saint Malina. She actually laughed at that, a hearty chortle as she leapt and bounded from boulder to boulder, her paws occasionally slipping into the cool waters. It was no use showing up to Glorall saturated, though by now Rogue had probably heard her. Everyone had probably heard her but that was okay with her - let Diveen watch her happy behind bound away!

Happy behind, of course, until she wounded up at the western border, a little confused as to where exactly to go. The area was lined with tall trees and had not been an area she had a chance to explore while she knew Pan. She simply stood on the shore looking dumbfounded, ears peeled back and forehead crinkled with a confused frown.

"This didn't go as planned..."

She spoke to herself, musing out loud as she began to lurk forward, nose to the ground. There was Rogue's scent at least, but it was muddled up with a myriad of others. Maybe she'd messed up and maybe, just maybe, she'd unknowingly just walked right on in to the sea pack.
