Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

To say that he had been unimpressed was an understatement, for perhaps angry would have better described him. It was a rare thing for him to lose his temper, but for now, he was content in doing so. After all, had he not been called out from his rest and away from his family? Had he not been battered only for the woman to withdraw at the last minute? She had not even finished what she'd started, and such a thing left an awfully bitter taste in his mouth. At least, he had figured, the taste had been somewhat sweetened by his decisive victory but still... it had been more of an itch and certainly more of an agitation. His return to Glorall, as slow as it had been, was met with him having to remain rested, only moving from his den to take the occasional dip in the ocean to cleanse his wound. Though relatively untouched, his elbow had been injured, preventing a full range of movement and ending in a grotesque, swollen joint. He despised such a wound, but at least it had begun to heal. He could only hope Rhoedias' face would remain tattered to ribbons for life.

Speaking of Rhoedias, he had expected her. Already, he had sent word to Spirane informing them that he had full intentions of keeping her within Glorall for some... questioning, but still, she had not shown. In the mean time, he had been filled in on a rather curious wolf, one that Rogue had decided to bring in for a round of questions and answers. He went by the name of Attu, this stranger, and he had apparently asked the most peculiar questions and had apparently run his mouth quite a bit. What she had learnt from him surely made Tesseract a curious wolf, and what better way to drown out anger than to become well and truly curious? News like that made him so very glad that he'd never underestimated her.

Still, the journey across to the island had been an agitating one, the burn of the salt a relentless pain that seized his leg as he swam. It took longer but he had taken the longest route, a route littered with rocks that had tumbled into the water into a makeshift bridge of sorts. It kept his top-line out of the water, allowing him to hobble across rather than actively flex his leg. It made for an awkward crossing, one he intended to make alone but nonetheless, he reached the dry land soon enough. He wouldn't risk being seen in such a state, not even by Rogue. At least on dry land, he could walk more naturally.

With that, he moved to follow the stranger's scent, the unusual musk all too obvious against the backdrop of sea and salt. It took him but a few minute to find the dark male, his large frame propped up against one of the stones. Honestly, he looked rather... bored, something that brought an almost smug smile to Tesseract's features as he lumbered forward. Usually, he did not like seeing to guests in such a state - sopping wet and injured - but he'd make an exception this day. It was a good way to vent without truly venting, and he couldn't help but wonder what the male was up to if he had caught Rogue's attention.

He stopped some ten feet from the male, tail arched to display his rank as he eyed him momentarily. He was large, undoubtedly, and built for power but still, Tesseract had numbers. If he made the call, then he had no doubt the other wolves of Glorall would come to the island and... help. For now, though, it'd be just him and Rogue if she decided to come. With a nod to himself, he rocked back to be seated, holding his injured leg a little lamely as he smiled towards himself, watching the male still in silence.

"Beautiful day, isn't it? I am Tesseract, the Alpha of these here lands. Now, Rogue has told me about you..."

He paused, cocking his head and flashing a charming smile before he continued, meeting the male's gaze and fixating on their eye contact.

"But I do think I'd like to hear your story for myself. I think I may... know a few things."

Hook, bait and sinker.
