Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Note: Susil Crags will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

On the wings of death, by the hands of doom
By the darkest light from the darkest moon
Crossing silent seas over mountains high
For we stand as one tonight

Chael wondered why, if he was meant to be perfect for her, he still felt fear of his pack-mates? ... Or perhaps want she needed and what she thought was ideal were very different things. For now, though, since the attention from him had been averted, he had settled back into the emotion before fear - which was constant worry. This was the space he usually lived in, in between the state or fear and worry. He tilted his head at her ridiculous statement that Demons exist. He even managed a humorous twitch of his lip. He shook his head, "Demon is more like the title of a family, though there are some of us who thrive in the bloodthirsty nature that correlates with the beasts of myth." Chael's thoughts turned to Andras and Lillith and Gaara and Eclipse and Nakki. They were all wolves who lived to peel skin from muscle and muscle from bone. Chael had watched before and even pretended to enjoy the shredding of flesh before, but he was capable of no such thing, but he wasn't disgusted by it either. If it made his pack mate dance in glee, then Chael was glad to support them, though he had no personal attachment to dismembering anything.

Her sudden hostility cause Chael's ears to perk forwards. He was surprised he felt no need to cower before her. He felt... secure. His heart hammered at the sight of her gruesome snarl, but there was no fear. Rather, he felt prepared. Or maybe confident? Chael didn't understand the heightened adrenaline that suddenly coursed through his veins as she stalked nearer. Or was that it? She was coming nearer, and the though of that left him eager, even for her teeth around his neck. Still, he had no wish to encourage violence, and he lowered his head and ears. She was boss of him, and of herself. He release a breath calmly onto her muzzle. She was so close! The inch that separated them felt so fragile. Chael felt the urge to break it and touch noses with her. But that was off limits to him. She had a wall stronger than steel drawn between them, and right now, she didn't need him to break it. If he could... he wanted to be let in through a door. He let her fume to him and said nothing. She was correct, after all. He had seen her and now he was wholly hers. She didn't have to be attached to him, though. If her need of him was for him to be uninvolved with her, he wouldn't be.

However, she did need him. Chael could feel that. She was entirely in denial of it though. His black beauty was an independent creature, and he found her strength admirable. At her last statement Chael's eyes casted a look to the ground. Sadness filled him. Intuitively or not, she had just repeated the words he's been told his entire life. He was weak and fearful. Unworthy. Chael turned his eyes away from her. She had hit a sore spot, but he wouldn't be angry with her, even if he could have been. Truth was often bitter, and he wouldn't deny that his disposition was less than attractive to anyone. "My parents were both worthy of the Demon title; they were both considered Demons. But I... I am defective. My body is marred in white and emotions such as hate or aggression are lost to me. Thus, I am unworthy of the official title and only live because they so allow it," He looked back to her then, and told her absolutely, "As a result, I am their servitor and am whatever they need me to be whether that is a punching bag or a consultant."

Chael leaned forwards gently, bringing there noses closer, though he stopped hovering a few millimeters away from her. His lip curled up to bear his teeth. An affectionate growl rumbled in the bottom of his throat. He could feel her turmoil and it was making him restless. If she needed to attack, then she should do so. Chael would relish the contact, even if she was going to try and kill him. "The reason why the Fates have given me to you is for us to discover. This is new to me... but I can feel your soul is a strong one and I am honored to be bound to you."

Chael was very far past honored, he was becoming infatuated. Hormones talking, maybe, though he was being sooth the longer he was with her. There was a cruel exterior, a monster that lashed out and devoured the weak, but Chael already loved those. He had grown up with creatures far less moral than she. What was next was finding the way to unlock the steel barrier and coming to understand the wolf behind it. A long process, he knew, but one he needed to take for her, because she needed a companion.
