Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

goes the clock, we laughed at fate and mourned her, tick tock goes the clock even for the monster

“And then you will leave.”

Whether she was saying that to order him to go away when he was done or that he would do that in the future was hard to say. Either way, he wouldn’t be staying around for long. Both of them had things to do and places to be. He had to get back to his lovely pack that enjoyed beating up him. Whereas she needed to get a move on, warm up and loosen her body before going on a hunt or two and finding some shelter that would keep her away from predators. She may have been healed neatly by the master Healer of Diveen, but still, she needed it looked after. After all, it would be a terrible shame if the poor girl should die of infection. Such a proud creature that she was, to meet Death not in a battle, but in agonizing pain from small invisible fighters. Unaware that he was speaking a poem, she had no idea on how to react on assuming that he was saying pointless things. She could feel instant warmth spread from her side, slowly trickling all over her form. She would not rub into him, wanting to feel more, rather she let him do that all on his own. Secretly pleased that he was taking care of it all. Keeping her head down, a tattered ear twitched as she continued to ignore him…as best as she could. Though really how could she? He was giving her warmth and numbing the pain in her scarred chest.

Slowly she would uncurl herself from her tight little ball, causing some of the snow to trickle down her thick, but soft ebony fur. Her limbs stiffen from being locked in such a position along with the freezing temperatures she had to endure. While she moved, her skin and agile frame would lean harder into the black and white pale. Glossy sapphire eyes would close as she inhaled the frosty air, allowing the freezing wind to fill her lungs causing the creature to awaken even further from the nasty chill she accepted into her. She needed to get started with her day, she needed food and a warm shelter. As the sun began to crawl out, she could feel the sun’s rays slowly start to warm her up faster, but it did not cause her a greater will to get up and leave. Rather, she assumed she could stay laying down, if only for a little while. She was about to close her eyes once more, but she felt a cool tongue stroke her shoulder. A dark growl rumbled in her chest as she moved her head around causing her fangs to barely touch the tip of his nose as he pulled away. The only wolf that was lucky enough to touch her, and live to tell the tale, was the Master Healer…and she only allowed him when she knew he was not going to hurt her. How could she barely trust a weakened wolf? Wolves with weakness were much more dangerous than other type of wolves, they were the ones that were the riskiest. Their risk taking could easily sabotage another’s life. Sapphire eyes glared harshly at him, bloodstained lips remained pulled back, not pleased with him at tall. As she glared at him, she remembered the Master Healed telling her that she would need to clean her wounds and that fresh snow wouldn’t always be helpful, she would have to return to the pack to get them cleaned by him. Not wishing to go back to the over friendly pack that housed the White Devil that wasn’t pleased she was a lingua franca. She huffed and laid her dial over her black paws. With a gruff cold voice, she stared straight ahead watching the frozen river.

“You already started, you might as well finish it.”
