The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Although she has found a home in Spirane her wandering nature compels her to travel the land of Moladion. To learn about its inhabitants, history, and landscapes. Life has passed her by at a ridiculous speed and she has lost so much in her life. Long ago she had a mate but he was dead; moved to the beyond. And the only set of pups she had were both with him. Natu longs for the companionship that she has lost or at least a pup with which to raise and teach in the ways of her wisdom. Patience, kindness, but also the strength of will and the way to fight. So Natu travels, her alabaster body weaving across the land until she comes to the Grotto. A jagged hole in the side of the crags interests her and she slinks into the cave.

Because Mistletoe had asked to see his sister Warlow had decided to track her down. He had started where he had first left her, a couple miles away from where he and Mistletoe had first met and imprinted. It was easy to find her, to fall back into his old routine of tracking her down but staying at a distance. So he had followed her scent all the way to the edge of Spriane and then found the trail leading towards the crags. Warlow turns his head as he trots along to make sure Mistletoe is nearby. She is wonderful, his instincts sigh. Quickly he darts towards her and rubs against her side, needing her scent to cling to him just as his will cling to her. "She is this way," he says nudging her chin before breaking away at a lope. Of course Natu is traveling - she always travels. He shouldn't judge considering he always followed her but she couldn't just sit still ever. Even though Warlow hardly talked to her, his only living relative, he knew she wished for companionship. He knew she was lost since the death of her mate and pups. The cave looms before them and he slows, slapping his tail around so that it smacks into Mistletoe and he offers her a grin. Then he enters the Grotto.

The scents of other wolves already permeates the enclosed place. Others like her had come, explored, and left. As Natu sniffs along the walls the sound of stones rolling and the scuff of paws against the rock draws her attention. Lifting her head Natu's icy blue eyes watch as her brother slinks into the cave and a small female follows near him. She is frozen and observes the sight, the way her brother unconsciously tilts towards the female as if she is his sun and he the planet around her. Imprinting. The mere idea of her crazy, grumpy brother imprinting makes her smile suddenly and she laughs, not unkindly but amused. "This is something I never thought I would see, brother. Hello, dear one. I am Natu," she murmurs, turning her gaze to Mistletoe. She is a few inches taller than Warlow's imprint and much fuller in her body, a medium between Mistletoe and Warlow. Natu sits now, knowing by the glint in Warlow's eyes that he has come to find her.
